Brightkit smiled thankfully at Waterkit and took a small bite out of the mouse.

"...Well? Does it taste as good as it smells? Tell me, what are you thinking right now?!" Waterkit asked in a dramatic tone, then burst out laughing.

"It tastes great," Brightkit laughed.

"I knew it!" Waterkit squeaked. "Now let me get a piece o' him!" She laughed and then started violently gnawing on the mouse. "So tasty! Hurry and have some more before I eat it all!"

Brightkit playfully shoved Waterkit out of the way and ate some more of the mouse.

Waterkit moved closer again and shoved the mouse in Brightkit's face, smirking.

Brightkit took a quick bite of the mouse before jumping on Waterkit.

"You're not getting away with this!" Waterkit growled playfully, rolling over trying to get Brightkit off.

Brightkit laughed and leaped off, only to jump back on Waterkit and pin her down again.

"Release me!" Waterkit shouted, trying to sound threatening but laughing at the same time. She struggled to her feet under the weight of her sister and bounced up and down, trying to knock Brightkit off.

Brightkit tried her best to stay on top of Waterkit. "Bounce me all you want, sis. It's sort of comfortable, actually." She giggled.

"Ugh, who are you calling comfortable?!" Waterkit flipped down on the ground onto her back, using as much force as she could, and was free of Brightkit. "Yes!" She smiled triumphantly.

Ashbreeze's ears pricked up. She thought she heard squeaky laughter somewhere nearby. She tracked the laughter to some undergrowth, where she found none other than Waterkit and Brightkit.

Waterkit froze. She would've tried to hide but she knew it was too late, Ashbreeze had seen them! "Uh... hi there. It-it's not what you think!" Waterkit mewed nervously. She shared a worried look with Brightkit.

Ashbreeze glanced at the two kits. "What are you kits doing out of camp?!" she said, keeping her voice low as to not draw attention to themselves. She didn't want other warriors getting caught up in this yet.

Waterkit tried to think of a good excuse to tell Ashbreeze, but there really wasn't one. Looking down at her paws in shame, she murmured, "We just wanted to do something exciting in our boring kit lives." Glancing quickly at Brightkit she added, "It was all my idea though, I'm sorry..."

Pinepaw was walking around the BerryClan camp, looking for something to do. What he really wanted was to practice some fighting with Fierypaw, but he couldn't seem to find him. Must be out of camp. Ugh, at least he's actually out doing something! he thought, annoyed with his boredom.

Kiwiwillow was sitting down in a clearing in camp, grooming her head. As she licked her paw and rubbed it across her face, she noticed Pinepaw, who seemed a bit… bored? Frustrated? Lonely? She couldn't quite pinpoint what it was, but he didn't seem too thrilled. Should I go talk to him? I should try to be more outgoing… With a deep breath, the young warrior strolled over to the apprentice as coolly as she could manage. "Hey." She flicked her tail nonchalantly and blinked once or twice. "Looking for someone?"

Great StarClan she's talking to me! This is awesome! Now don't you mess this up, Pinepaw told himself. He was glad someone came to talk to him, and even more glad that it was Kiwiwillow. He just hoped that he wouldn't say anything to embarrass himself. Pinepaw cleared his throat. "...Hi. And yes, actually! I could really go for some fighting practice and wanted to with Fierypaw, have you seen him?"

Tilting her head, Kiwiwillow tried to think of the last time she had seen Fierypaw. "I think he went on patrol with Ashbreeze and Featherbreeze a while ago." Kiwiwillow thought for a little bit and then smiled. "Would you like to do some fighting practice with me? You're pretty experienced for an apprentice, and I'm not a really old warrior. Besides, you should learn how to fight against a cat bigger than you if a sudden attack occurs," Her tail swished across the ground inquisitively. "What do you say?"

"That would be great, thank you!" Pinepaw purred. Fierypaw is not going to believe this! His heart began to race in nervous excitement. He extended his tail in a gesture. "Lead the way, milady," he tried to say in a cool-sounding tone that probably ended up coming off as pretty silly. Gyah, what was that?!

Kiwiwillow chortled a little bit when she heard Pinepaw use the word "milady," but she didn't verbally note it. "Sure thing," she replied. She walked at a calm yet brisk pace to the training hollow. What if he likes you? … Nah, don't say that; nobody could ever love you. He's probably just excited to train with a warrior who's not his mentor.
