*~ShiningClan and GlowClan: The Iridescent Forest~*

"It's been going well," Goldenpaw said, eating her squirrel.

Brightpaw trudged across the grass with her tail down. What is wrong with me.... she thought. She had just finished a horrible training session that started with her missing an incredibly easy catch and ended with her tripping over her own paws when she tried to perform a basic attack. She was always so distracted, constantly thinking about different ways to make friends that she knew would never work. Maybe I wouldn't be so distracted if someone would be my friend! She shook her head. Don't blame it on them....it's you. You don't deserve a friend....for some reason. Maybe it was all in her head. Maybe someone actually did like her, she just couldn't see it. No...she was always alone. There was something wrong with her, she just didn't know what. What should I change about myself in order to fit in?
She walked over to the nearby stream and gazed at her reflection. She had bright pink eyes, which was kind of odd...was that it? Or was it her incredibly poofy white fur? Or maybe it wasn't her appearance. It could be something with her personality. She could try cheering up...but it was so hard to when she was so lonely.
Brightpaw plopped down on the grass and continued to stare into the water with a sigh. Things will get better....

Fiercepaw sat in front of the medicine den as all the warriors rushed all around the camp trying to figure out patrols and give out fresh kill. Less than a moon ago, I thought I would be doing that. But now I'm doing something so much better. He loved everything about being the medicine cat apprentice. He loved taking care of his Clanmates, he loved being able to help Frogfoot, he loved the fact that he didn't have to worry about getting a mate...it was perfect. And one day he'd get his full name and he'd become a real medicine cat, and every kit and apprentice would look up to him and--er, I guess you could say the ambition he had when he was a kit hadn't completely faded away. But that was a good thing; it kept him motivated. "Time to get some stuff done," he said to himself, standing up.

Frogfoot limped around the Medicine Cat Den, sorting herbs as he went, he was rushing around wildly, looking flustered and bewildered. He looked over at Fiercepaw, who was sitting at the mouth of the den, watching the Clan go by. He said "Fiercepaw," he started, "Could you come out with me to collect some herbs, we're running a bit low on them, and we need to stock up." he meowed

"Sure, Frogfoot!" Fiercepaw said excitedly. He began to bound towards the camp entrance, but slowed down when he realized Frogfoot would have trouble keeping up. Fiercepaw, show Frogfoot your manners, that's sure to help you become a medicine cat! he thought with a confident smile.

Frogfoot chuckled at the cats energetic bounce, and eagerness to help. Frogfoot limped across the camp to catch up with Fiercepaw. Once thy were well aways from camp, Frogfoot said "So, Fiercepaw, We're out of Chervil" he stated "So before we go find it, what is Chervil used for?" he quizzed.

"'For infected wounds and bellyache'," he stated proudly, thinking back to his first lesson as medicine cat apprentice. "And it grows in 'places with plenty of sunlight'. So it would be around the GlowClan border!" He nervously looked at Frogfoot. Am I right...?

"Correct!" he smiled, looking proud of his apprentice. "Well, we should get going then." he said, as he hobbled towards the border.

Duskflower walked out of the leader's den. She had just been talking with Meadowstar about who to take to the upcoming Gathering.

Flameclaw stood up, seeing Duskflower come out. "I'd better go talk to her now." He nodded farewell to Poppytail and Goldenpaw and went over to his deputy. "Duskflower." He greeted her respectfully. "I have some news from the patrol. We've detected signs of a rogue trespassing on our territory, I believe."

"Did you catch sight of the rogue?" Duskflower asked.

FORM:

"No, but from the scent we think we could tell that it was a tom. It was pretty fresh too, I believe he'd been there last night. It was not too far from the stream," Flameclaw replied, narrowing his eyes thoughtfully. "Personally I'd say we should find him and chase him out, but it's yours and Meadowstar's decision."

(Tigerpaw's added to the list, woooot)

"Yes, we should deal with this as soon as possible..." Darkflower said, tail twitching thoughtfully. "I'll inform the leader and ask if we can send a patrol out."

"Right." Flameclaw nodded. "Hopefully this outsider doesn't mean us any harm, but you never can be too careful... I'll let the other warriors know to keep a watch for him too." He dipped his head and walked back across the clearing, informing his clanmates.

Form:

Tigerpaw laid in the middle of the clearing, sunning himself.

Dewpaw emerged from the apprentices' den, well-rested and energetic. She saw that her friend was already in the clearing and ran to him. "Hi Tigerpaw! I don't know about you, but I have tons of energy right now! What do you say we ask if we could do a round of battle training against each other?" she asked with a smile.

Tigerpaw stood up and stretched. "Sure, Dewpaw."

"Great!" Dewpaw purred. There's your mentor now, let's go ask him." She approached Flameclaw, letting Tigerpaw follow her. "Hey Flameclaw, could you please take Tigerpaw and I out for a training session? I'm sure my mentor won't mind; I'm not busy and I should sharpen my skills." Dewpaw flexed her claws.

Flameclaw thought for a moment, then responded, "Alright, we can do a quick battle round. But we shouldn't be out of camp for too long, I'm going to need to be back soon to hear from Meadowstar what we're doing about that rogue."

"Great! Thanks!" Tigerpaw said quickly, running off.

"Hey, I'm still coming with you! No chance am I letting you two fight alone," Flameclaw laughed. He caught up with Tigerpaw, Dewpaw following excitedly. When they arrived at the training area, Flameclaw sat for a moment, thinking of what to have them do. "Alright. Would you like to learn a new move, or show me what you've already got just in a round against each other?" he asked the apprentices.

"A new move!" Tigerpaw decided. "If we end up going against the rogue, we're gonna have to know as many attacks as possible to stand a chance."

"Right! You're smart, Tigerpaw," Dewpaw meowed.
"Yes, good idea." Flamewclaw smiled, slightly amused. "Okay, so if your opponent is close to you and about to aim a blow, this is one of the good techniques to use. Before they strike, you would quickly turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent." He demonstrated and then turned to Dewpaw. "You go and attack Tigerpaw from the front. Tigerpaw, do what I showed you and try to act before she can get any attacks in. And remember you two, claws sheathed."
Dewpaw nodded and ran towards Tigerpaw, ready to strike.

Tigerpaw nervously watched Dewpaw, afraid he will mess something up. Once she got close enough, Tigerpaw ducked, turned over, and quickly raked Dewpaw's belly with his back legs. Then he scrambled to his feet.

"Not bad," Flameclaw purred.
"Yeah, you were fast!" Dewpaw panted.

"Thanks," Tigerpaw said. He got into a stance, ready to run. "I'll charge when you're ready," he said, pawing the ground excitedly.

"Right, it's my turn to try!" mewed Dewpaw. Ooh, I hope I can do this. Tigerpaw made it look easy enough... I'll show him and Flameclaw I'm confident! She adjusted her position. "Okay Tigerpaw, come at me!"
