NightClan: Attack [Volume 1 Book 1]

Sandpaw pounced at Poppyclaw, who quickly stepped away, leaving Sandpaw sliding in the dust.
"Here's a tip," Poppyclaw mewed. "When in battle, try to take note of your enemies' moves. You could use them against them later."
"Okay." Sandpaw mewed, getting up.
Poppyclaw lunged at Sandpaw. Remembering what Poppyclaw did, she ran a few steps away, so Poppyclaw didn't hit her. "Well done." The red tom said.

Darkgem thought of Ashwind. Why haven't I killed him yet...?

Poppyclaw and Sandpaw kept training.

{BTW, who's Ashwind? *le curious*}

{Darkgem's father, remember?}

Darkgem flexed her claws. I'll kill him before anything else can get to him! After we kill the Three tomorrow, I'll come to murder him!

{Oyaaaaaah}

"We'll be attacking the Gifted Three tomorrow." Poppyclaw said.
"Tomorrow? Perfect! I can keep training then and use them as my targets!" Sandpaw said.
"Okay, but make sure that you mainly aim at Roseblossom." he meowed.
"Why?" Sandpaw asked.
"Because she's the one who deserves to be killed the most!" He flexed his claws.

Ugh, why can't I sleep tonight? I've never had problems falling asleep. Darkgem thought, annoyed.

Sandpaw lept onto Poppyclaw's back, digging her claws into him and not letting go.

Darkgem tossed and turned, trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Maybe if I let my anger out, it will help me sleep better. Such is the way of the NightClan cat.
"Curse you, Jewelsky!" Darkgem whispered angrily. "May the Dark Forest haunt you in your dreams, and may I haunt you outside them. And curse you, Ashwind!" Darkgem raked her claws across the floor of the den. "Curse you for ever loving Amberfoot. For ever helping give birth to me! And then I find out that you betrayed me!" she seethed. "Curse Amberfoot, curse Berryfrost, curse Roseblossom, curse Wheatpaw, curse Claweye, curse every cat who's ever had a better life than me! I had to fight twice as hard because nobody knew where I had come from. And then I discovered where I was from..." She was panting heavily now. "Amberfoot! Why must I look so much like you, that when every time I look into my reflection, I see the traitorous cat you once were? You were supposed to love me, not hide from me! But it's too late. Now every cat cowers in fear at the name Darkgem of NightClan!"

Sandpaw's getting good. Poppyclaw thought. Roseblossom won't stand a chance.

"At least I do not have your amber eyes, Amberfoot. Or Ashwind's blue. Because if I did not have brown eyes, I would see myself as a monster!" Darkgem roared.

Poppyclaw yawned. "I think we should rest now." he said.
"Okay." Sandpaw mewed, padding toward her den.
"May the Dark Forest light your path, Sandpaw." Poppyclaw meowed back, padding toward Darkgem's den.

Darkgem became aware of Poppyclaw padding toward her den. "Hello, Poppyclaw." she purred.

"Hello, Darkgem." Poppyclaw purred.

Darkgem stretched. "I've been having trouble getting to sleep all night. So, I did what any NightClan cat would do. I vented it out."

"I see." Poppyclaw said.

"Well, I hope it helped." Darkgem yawned. "I'm gonna try to get some sleep now."

"Me too." Poppyclaw yawned.

Darkgem laid down in her mossy nest.

Poppyclaw laid down next to Darkgem.

Darkgem's eyes closed.

Poppyclaw closed his eyes. I can't wait for tomorrow, the day Roseblossom dies...
