I really like you guys' discussion from Twister's topic, oooh good ones. I strongly agree about Hollyleaf, Mapleshade, and Yellowfang (hers is definitely my favorite SE as well)! They had such great stories and written characters, compared to most. Clear Sky too yes, as infuriating as he may be, he's easily one of the most interesting characters in DotC
If you've read Goosefeather's novella too, gosh I'd say he's pretty complex! His story surprised me a lot and I couldn't get enough of it, why did it have to be so short ugh but it was really goood and caused me to get pretty defensive for him, heh. And y'know I find that the details from the time leading up to Bluestar's generation in books such as that one to be what excites me about the series now

Yeah those are good points! Clear Sky was one of my least favorite characters too but definitely one of the most interesting and complexly written.

What are some of your favorite characters who never had a point of view?
Not counting the short stories in the field guides, I just mean main series, super editions, mangas, and novellas.
Mine would have to be Lightning Tail! I was pretty meh on Thunder but Lightning Tail made his pov worth reading.

Hmm, good question! So far, my favorite character who never had a POV would probably have to be Cinderpelt! She has always been one of my favorites!

This is a tad bit off topic but this is something I've always wondered about so I'm curious to see what you guys think!

how on earth did they forget all about ThunderClan and their mother? Like, how long did it take for them to think that their kithood in ThunderClan never existed..? And I'd think most cats would be suspicious that two kits ,Mistykit and Stonekit, were gone and the next thing ya know, RiverClan has two apprentices "Mistypaw & Stonepaw" that look just like Bluestar's old kits..hmm xD

so even if they were young enough to not remember wouldn't they have said something about wanting Bluefur or to go back to ThunderClan? And the name thing haha ThunderClan wouldn't just be "Wow those RiverClan cats Mistypaw and Stonepaw look exactly like Mistykit and Stonekit and are the same age as they would be, what a wild coincidence"

Basically, a couple was expecting a baby, and at the same time, and the soon-to-be-born child's grandmother was dying, and the grandmother wished to reincarnate as the child. After she died, they drew a little mark on her with paint, and when the child was born, it had a birthmark that looked exactly like the mark drawn on the grandmother, and in the same place as well.
Idk, but considering this story, it makes a bit of sense.

- I haven’t really thought about that but I don’t really think unborn babies have a “soul” since they don’t have any experiences or a personality, they’re pretty much just cells? But it would be interesting if maybe Cinderkit was like an “empty shell” and would have been stillborn if Cinderpelt hadn’t died

So I was wondering, what is everyone's favorite Clan? In the first and second series my fav was probably WindClan or ThunderClan, but now (I'm in the middle of PO3) I'm thinking RiverClan is the best haha

RiverClan fan over here. They seem like a generally nice, yet not cocky, clan that has a generally easy way of life.

Ooh, okay for my current opinion I'd order them as ShadowClan > ThunderClan > WindClan > RiverClan. Honestly I really like all of the main clans though! Each of them has cool things about them with qualities and characters that I appreciate. Anyway, for the longest time ThunderClan used to be my favorite by far up until about two years ago when ShadowClan started getting my attention. Ahh they're so tough and mysterious, and it basically amazes the other clans when their actions are contrary to their cold reputation I love it

Same here. ShadowClan really isn't all bad, despite of their reputation. I really don't like it when ShadowClan is seen as "evil" either.

Hey guys, I was wondering out of all the series', which one is your favorite and which is your least favorite? That's hard for myself to answer since I'm currently in the middle of PO3 so I can't really judge all the books. So far though, my favorite series would probably be first series or maybe PO3 and that would leave The New Prophesy as my least favorite series, although I did like them!
