SQUARE ENIX WHYYYYYYY

So, when a wonderful game is made with wonderful characters, what do fans want to see?
They want to see those characters come back.
When a jerky company decides that they need those characters' copyrights despite not using them for remotely anything, what do the fans do?
They start hating on that jerky company.
That's exactly what I've come here to do. I'm an enraged Super Mario RPG fan, and there are plenty more out there like that.
SO I SHALL NOW RANT ABOUT SQUARE ENIX.
I'm not saying that they make awful games or anything; I really have no idea what they're like since I've never played any of them. I heard Final Fantasy VI was good, but I'm not about to argue with fans of it about a game I haven't played.
No, the problem with Square Enix isn't their games. It's what they did with one of it and Nintendo's games that bothers me.
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
Many fans would agree with me in that it is the best game ever.
Within it, there are two characters very dear to me—Geno and Mallow. I think most people like them, but there are some Mallow haters out there. xP
However, other than my sister, who I really don't count as a fan, everybody seems to love Geno, even the dumb gamers who think Yoshi is overrated because everyone likes him except for them.
Years went by after SMRPG and still, nobody saw Geno until Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
Of course, that was only about a 5-second appearance. Fans still wanted more of Geno.
And then everyone got worked up about something else.
Everybody's favorite star warrior was supposedly coming to the next Super Smash Bros. game. ♥♪!? was going to be in Brawl. [Translation: GENO FOR BRAWL]
This is where the full-out ranting and rage begins.
Square Enix flaming STOPPED Nintendo from putting him in Brawl. Nintendo got to use SONIC THE HEDGEHOG. SONIC, BUT NOT GENO. GENO WAS FROM ONE OF THEIR OWN GAMES AND THEY COULDN'T USE HIM.
Square Enix took Geno and Mallow and WHOEVER'S FRINKIN' COPYRIGHT from SMRPG and wouldn't let Nintendo use them when THEY wouldn't even use Geno THEMSELVES.
HOW SPRINK AWFUL IS THAT.
IF YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE THE COPYRIGHTS TO A CHARACTER, YOU MAY AS WELL USE THEM FOR SOMETHING.
IT'S COMPLETELY OBVIOUS, SQUARE ENIX.
YOU AREN'T HELPING YOURSELF, YOU'RE JUST STUPIDLY GETTING FANS LIKE ME TO HATE YOU.
YEAH OKAY IF ANYONE WANTS TO RANT ABOUT THIS WITH ME FEEL FREE TO POST

I'd like to rant with you. xD

So, like I said, I hadn't heard about this until you mentioned it on the WI Mario club, so maybe I'm not as mad as you are about it. But, I must say, I'm pretty mad.
I never knew the thing about Sonic being in Brawl, and that just makes smoke come out of my ears. (Almost literally.)
I mean really, IF NINTENDO WAS GOING TO DO WHAT THE FANS WANTED, AND IF THEY WERE GOING TO BE AWESOME LIKE THAT, WHY WOULD SQUARE ENIX TAKE GENO AWAY?! Nintendo does think of its fans (although sometimes I wish they'd listen to their beloved Daisy fans), but Square Enix obviously does not. xP
Well, this helped ME (when I wanted Daisy to be in a game SO much, I tried to stuff my Daisy plushie into the TV xD): draw those characters, write stories about them...maybe it'll make you feel better. Go on www.nintendo.com or www.mariowiki.com to see the NEW games. Think of all the NEW epicness that'll be coming out soon! (OH MY GOODNESS JEWELEH I HEARD THEY'RE REMAKING SMS :O) I know that Nintendo hasn't really been making new, original games with new, original characters lately, but perhaps they will. (Not sure if this one will just make you more upset, but you could try playing SMRPG again! Maybe seeing Geno would make you happy.)

The only ones that aren't scratched for me are Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii, and pretty much all of the Wii U games. BUT DOUBLE DASH
