The Medicine Cat Den

Dapplebreeze is a pretty tortoiseshell she-cat with green eyes. 
She strolled into camp with marigold in her mouth, and put it in its pile. Then she sat down, ready to help her Clanmates.

Skykit struggled to the den entrance with Moonkit on her back. "Dapplebreeze, I hurt my paw!" Moonkit meowed.

Dapplebreeze turned around and looked at the two piled kits. "Okay, Moonkit. I'll help you." She then picked Moonkit up and placed her on a small bed of moss. 
Skykit sighed with relief as Moonkit was taken off her.
"Okay, now, first, eat this." She lightly pushed a couple of daisy leaves toward Moonkit.

Moonkit sniffed them and drew back, making a face. "They'll taste yucky." Reluctantly she swallowed them, in hope they would help her paw. "Ew, I was right!" She tried to clear the bitter taste from her mouth.

"Yeah, they taste bad. But they'll make your paw better." Then she brought out some dried oak leaves. "This might hurt," She then started to press some leaves into the wound.

The leaves stung, but Moonkit tried her best to keep quiet. "I'm okay," she meowed through clenched teeth.

"You are?" Dapplebreeze asked. "Good." Then she pulled out the last herbs, poppy seeds. "These don't taste as bad. These will really help with the pain. They'll also make you a bit sleepy. Here you go."
Skykit watched them, especially listening to what the herbs do and other things like that.

Moonkit obeyed, carefully licking up the seeds. "Not as bad," she murmured. "Thank you Dapplebreeze. Should I go rest now?" Moonkit was already beginning to feel a little drowsy.

"Yes you should," Dapplebreeze answered. "I'll carry you back to your den,". She picked Moonkit up and carried her back to the nursery. Skykit followed.

Sootkit spotted Dapplebreeze, Moonkit, and Skykit. He strolled up to them. "Dapplebreeze, can you help me?"

"Sure, Sootkit," Dapplebreeze mewed. "What do you need?"

"Well, I had a strange dream." Sootkit replied.

"Oh really?" Dapplebreeze sat down. "Tell me all about it."

Sootkit nodded. "There was a black-and-gray cat with amber eyes. She looked afraid, like she was running from something. I knew she was a StarClan cat. Then she said something:
'Only one can save us,
Only one has remade us,
The hope of the Clans turns its back on us,
We won't live to see another day.'"

Dapplebreeze listened. "It sounds like a prophecy," she said. "But I don't know what it means. It sounds important, though. I'll try to figure it out."

"Okay." Sootkit meowed. "I should get back to the nursery."

"See you later," Dapplebreeze mewed.

"Bye!" Sootkit bounded away.
