"Ohhhhh... I get it." Athena nodded slightly in understanding, though couldn't help feeling like there was definitely more to this story. However, now probably wasn't the best time to dig deeper, so she simply carried on with their conversation. "Eh? Oh, you mean like my home world?" she responded with a grin on her face, thinking that wearing one would help to lighten the mood at least a little. "Well, er, probably not exactly like THIS one, no," she explained with a slight laugh, taking another good look at the colorful tree. "At least, I've never seen one quite like it! Most of our trees are just plain... leafy. The closest thing to this from my home world that comes to mind is probably something like a cherry tree in full bloom, but I don't think I've ever seen a cherry tree with blossoms this huge," she remarked, reaching out and carefully running a finger along one of the large flowers.

"Heh...I'm glad I'm not the only one dazzled......honestly though, your trees are probably very pretty too. I'll have to visit sometime!" He wiped the tears, plucked a blossom and happily buried his face in it.

Link prepared to get his things together, but the little Inkling had been asleep on his bag. He sat by her, wondering how to politely recover it.

"Heh, that would be interesting!" Athena replied, wondering what exactly would happen if Torsulus found a way to visit her world. "Welp, I guess we'd better get to work preparing for today's leg of the journey," she commented, stretching a bit and looking around to see what everyone was up to. "We'll have to chat again sometime soon!" she told Torsolus with a smile. Maybe he could tell me a little more about what's on his mind then, she thought to herself.

Marie, of course, didn't look as if she intended on waking up anytime soon. She appeared perfectly content to just lie there and sleep the entire day away if she were allowed to. Every so often, she would let out an audible snore, and once appeared to nestle into where she was lying even further.

"Yeah for sure! I wanna hear more about your hometown later!" Torsolus looked at the blooms on the tree and grabbed the biggest, fluffiest, lushest one he could find...and handed it to Athena. "Here ya go, miss!"

Link looked around to see if anyone was watching....and then quietly played the Song of Awakening on his Ocarina. Just to see if it'd work.

By this point, Lucina had begun her own preparations for the group's journey that day, having just eaten a small portion of breakfast.

When Pit saw several of his allies beginning to prepare, he realized that he should be doing the same and quickly sprung to his feet.

Flint, who had up to this point been listening in to Athena and Torsolus, now stood, and cleaned what was necessary of his stuff. He then cast another wayward glance towards Marie, unsure of who she was. He had been asleep when the found her.

he stared for several seconds through narrowed eyes, then with an annoyed forceful sigh, turned to help Robin (I'm not sure if he's awake) get everything ready. While Flint was grumpy, for the most part that didn't mean he wasn't helpful. Though his eyes were focused and he kept his gaze straight ahead as he approached his old friend. His wings flared slightly from their usual folded position pressed against his back. He wasn't sure how Robin would react to his presence, or how he'd react to Robin's, considering the two hadn't talked much sense the incident.

"Don't think anything of this." Flint reminded harshly. "I'm just trying to get us going already."

Mintpaw, however, was focused on gathering and sorting various herbs and berries, then tying them in leaves, to be carried more easily. She didn't pay much mind to the others gathering around her, accept for a quick check of Lucina's leg, sniffing the burn carefully to see if the bandages needed changing

Athena's eyes widened as she looked down at the flower that had been presented to her. "Wha? Aw, for me?" she responded, slightly surprised. "Thanks!" With a bit of a giggle, she tucked it into the blue ribbon on her head, on the opposite side of the bow. "Okay, I'll catch ya later!" Giving a quick little wave, she turned and dashed off to help whoever she randomly spotted first.

Robin, who was now serving breakfast to the rest of the group, looked up and saw Flint approaching. At the sight of him, he dipped his head calmly in greeting. "Hello there, Flint," he spoke with a subtle, but friendly smile. "Have you had anything to eat yet?" he asked, already preparing to serve the Kattaca in case he hadn't. As usual, his genuine concern for his friends' well-being was quite apparent.

In just a moment or two, Marie stirred and opened her eyes. Not even she, almost legendary for her laziness, could sleep through the song Link had just played. "Nnnngh... Whaaaaaat?" she grumbled sleepily, not even sitting up. She didn't exactly sound happy about being woken up so "early".

Link tried waving to her. He looked awkward and embarrassed that it had worked, but not for her mood.

Torsolus came to tend to her. "Aww, Link, you didn't have to wake her yet!" He smiled at her. "Hello, sweetie. Did you sleep okay?"

Flint was about to reply, with a rather snappy remark about how he could take care of himself to Robin, when he heard Marie stir, and his ears flicked. He looked over his shoulder at her. "Oh great, that THING is awake. Well I'll do my best to stay out of IT'S way." He turned his attention back towards Robin, about to finish that rather rude reply, when this time Mintpaw stopped him. "Hey, Flint..?" She spoke wearily. Flint growled in frustration and glared down at her, once again acting as if he didn't know she couldn't see him "Erm... There's a.. Someone I want you to meet.. Er... Would you come with me?" She gently felt her tail until it touched his ankle, and she wrapped it's tip gently around his foot, and subtly pulled, until Flint sighed "Fiiiiine. I don't see why you'd want whoever's got you SOOO wound up to meet ME, but whatever. I don't care. Let's just get this over with." And, tail lashing, he allowed himself to be lead by the little she-cat over towards the sleepy Marie.

"Eh... Flint.. This is Marie, Marie... This is Flint... I..I'm sorry about him... He can be a little... Grumpy." Flint just grunted at her and pulled his foot away from her grasp forcefully. He remained silent.

When Lucina felt something brush gently against her leg, she glanced down and was quickly greeted by the sight of Mintpaw. Still grateful that she showed so much concern for her, a gentle smile appeared on her face as she lightly bowed her head in greeting. Then, as the kitten left to introduce Flint to the group's newest member, she couldn't help observing in slight curiosity.

Elsewhere in the Crossover World, the dark-tentacled squid creature continued her trek through what felt like an endless field, growing rather tired from her increasing hunger. "Urgh..." she groaned quietly as she dragged her feet along, though all of a sudden, something in the distance caught her attention and caused her to perk up slightly. What's... that? she wondered, squinting her eyes a little. From what she could tell, it looked as though she was approaching a small village. ... ! Houses!! Feeling a wave of relief rush over her, she quickened her pace. That must mean... Food! Yes!!

Robin watched Flint walk away with, of course, a concerned expression. After serving the final portion of breakfast, he took a little for himself, then put aside what was left over, just in case. Then, mind still stirring, he went off briefly to eat his own share.

Marie stared up at the small crowd that had gathered around her with a rather unamused expression. "Yeah, I did," she responded to Torsolus' question somewhat snarkily in a quiet grumble, still annoyed over being disturbed. As she pushed herself up to sit, slouching, she noticed Mintpaw and Flint. She stared up at the winged, bipedal, feline-looking creature as the small cat introduced him. She actually looked somewhat interested or curious for a moment, but the unamused expression that seemed to be her default this morning soon crept back onto her face. "Uh, hey... Flint," she greeted plainly.

Appearance: A tall, knight-like warrior, clad entirely in sturdy, black armor. An extremely-long, white tuft of what looks like some sort of hair decorates the back of its helmet, with a spiked band around its base. A ridge of small, white studs runs along the top of the helmet, from back to front. Over the entire front of its helmet is an angular visor, with its pointed shape, particularly at the front, giving the Knight's armored "face" a similar look to a dragon or bird. There is an opening across the visor's upper half, where a pair of glowing, red eyes peer out from the darkness; the only visible element of its possible true face. Its elbows sport one spike each. A dusky-purple cloth hangs down from its waist at the front of its body.
Personality and traits: ???? (Personality is hard to determine, but its actions can often be described as hostile. It doesn't speak very much.)
Abilities/powers/talents/etc.: The Shadow Knight is apparently skilled in dark magic, which also grants it superhuman strength. It wields a titanic metal hammer, roughly the size of itself. It may possess further abilities, but as of yet, any of these are unknown.

Torsolus made a visual retreat at her remark. "I'm so sorry we woke you early. We're in no rush, I think." He turned to the Kattaca Prince. "Oh! Hey Flint! She just--*snrk*--woke up."

At this point Torsolus chose to emotionally remove himself from the situation, observing rather than participating....so he could laugh at what would unfold.

Link sat back and watched anxiously, hoping to eventually have his bag back.

After a few more moments of walking, the hungry squid creature soon arrived at her destination, which, thankfully, did turn out to be a village after all. Thoroughly relieved, her eyes almost began tearing up with joy as she wandered across the stone path, gazing at the surrounding buildings. Something other than a house soon caught her attention, however- a small garden box of some kind. Curiously, she wandered over to investigate, her gaze lighting up with she saw what was inside. "Carrots!" she accidentally exclaimed out loud, reaching into the small, leafy patch and yanking a carrot right out of the dirt, hardly giving it any thought as she was so desperately hungry. A grin spreading across her face, she proceeded to sink her fangs into the vegetable.

Suddenly, a somewhat old man peeked out of the window of the house the garden seemed to belong to. Gasping, he rushed off to grab a broom, then came running out of the door towards the little creature, shouting loudly at her and attempting to shoo her away from his carrot crop. "Little monster! Get!"

Before she could get any more bites of the carrot, the squid creature heard a loud shout coming from nearby and whirled around, startled by the sudden sound. "Eeeeek!!" Dropping the orange vegetable in a panic, she sprung to her feet and dashed away as quickly as she could, glancing back over her shoulder as she ran. Though still tired, this was the fastest she had moved in quite some time.

The old man watched for a moment as the creature fled, waving his broom over his head once more, then quickly headed back inside, believing he'd frightened her enough to prevent her return.

Still looking back over her shoulder as she frantically fled, the squid creature didn't see that there was an obstacle in the path just ahead.
All of a sudden, she found herself tumbling over something and flopping belly-first onto the ground. Looking around in confusion, she noticed a few apples rolling away in several directions, then noticed a small basket lying on the ground, tipped over. Ouch... Guess that's my fault. she commented to herself, assuming the object she had tripped over was this basket, which apparently held apples just moments ago. It was at this moment that a realization hit her; ... Wait... These are APPLES! Scrambling back to her feet, she rushed to grab two of the scattered apples and, once again not hesitating, took a big bite out of one.

Flint growled and pulled one lip back in disgust "what are you doing here?" He asked bluntly. Mintpaw stiffened, her ears drooping, but Flint didn't back down. Looking around he added "and how come no one told me there was a newcomer?" Mintpaw gently sighed in stress, and backed off, whispering to no one in particular "I'm sorry"

Torsolus picked up Mintpaw and stroked her, his eyes never taken off the scene.

"It's ok. Don't let him get to you. He's just toxic is all. Watch. Err--listen. He's gonna go toe to toe with Sleeping Snooty over here." He giggled a little and, still watching, sifted around and found some milk in Link's bag and gave it to her to drink like soda in a movie.

Link was too interested in the scene to notice or care.

Mintpaw whined softly and pathetically when she was picked up. She didn't purr when she was petted, just stared into nothing, her ears twitching as she listened to the predicted argument coming between Flint and Marie. She hadn't intended this interaction to be negative, of course, though she should have expected it.
"Shouldn't we stop them?" she murmured to Torsolus when she caught his intention to watch the argument like a show. "I...I don't like the tension.."

when the milk was shoved in her face she gasped a little and recoiled, milk spilled on her face. she groaned, and pawed at it, obviously uninterested in the beverage. Though the smell was intriguing her

"Well, I'd say sleeping, but y'know," Marie snorted in response to Flint, sarcastically joking, though her annoyance was still as obvious as ever. After this, she decided to be a bit more serious. "Look; I dunno where "here" even is, okay?" she huffed, turning her head away and giving him a sideways glance before looking off to the side in irritation. "I was just catchin' some Zs in our studio one afternoon, and when I woke up I was like... in some kinda forest." She sighed a long sigh as she continued. "Then I wandered around lost. By the time those guys found me," she explained, motioning in general to the others, not really paying attention to who was where, "I was basically asleep. They brought me to this camp, so I wouldn't freeze or whatevs, I guess."

Flint snorted. Grumbling "likely story.. One would think they would have told me.." He pinned his ears and turned away, closing his eyes lightly in what was an not understandable, yet obviously negative emotion. He swished his tail "Well you should probably get up. We're going to be leaving soon, and that bedding your using belongs to us."

Mintpaw tensed in Torsolus's arms

Torsolus set Mintpaw aside. "Sorry miss." He addressed the Inkling. "He's not one for...umm....anything......sociable. Apparently not even your quips? Those were nice by the way." He smiled at her. His marshmallowy form was for the first time fully visible in the morning light.

"Fine..." Marie sighed again, picking up the long, shiny object that had been lying beside her, resting it on her shoulder, and pushing herself to her feet, wishing she could have slept at least an hour or three longer. However, her irritated expression softened when Torsolus spoke to her. "Oh... Uh, thanks," she responded, looking up at him slightly, and even giving a very slight, lopsided grin for a moment. She was grateful that he, and most of the others from what she could tell, actually seemed rather easy to get along with.

Suddenly, Cookie strolled by, noticing Marie. "Ohey...! She's awake!" she remarked, trotting over to investigate. "Hi there...!" she greeted the creature, giving a small, enthusiastic wave.

Of course, usually, where there's a basket of apples on the ground, its owner isn't far away. Just a few feet away, a man was picking apples. After hearing the commotion, he whirled around to see his apples scattered across the ground. Amongst them sat a smallish, humanoid creature with dark tentacles for "hair" and sharp teeth, getting straight to work devouring his now likely-bruised harvest. "HEY!" he shouted loudly, taking a threatening step towards her.
