Reedwing walked out from the warriors nest, letting the sun warm his feathers. He wondered if his apprentice was awake.

Cobaltweb emerged from the apprentices' nest, staring down at the nearby lake.  She spotted Reedwing near the warriors' nest, and made her way over to him.

Reedwing smiled as Cobaltweb approached them. "Hello, Cobaltweb," he said. "Are you ready for today's lesson?"

Cobaltweb did the duck equivalent to nodding, which was bobbing her head up and down in a dopey manner, and headed towards the entrance to the camp.

They made their way to the shore of the lake. Reedwing walked into the water. "Today's going to be a fishing lesson," he said.

Cobaltweb stared at the lake before walking into it. She looked around, trying to find a fish, then stabbed her beak at something green that floated past. Her beak grazed its surface, but the fish thrashed, then swam away.
