The Stream

The stream at the border between SunClan and StreamClan. Here, StreamClan cats learn to fish and fight in the water. They also come here to cross to the Gathering place, or just to wash up.

Falconkit ran to the stream and stopped at the shore to wait for his friends.

Leafkit caught up with Falconkit. "I've never been to the stream before." she mewed. The stream looked so beautiful as it shimmered and rippled.

"Me neither, Leafkit." Patchkit mewed. She looked at the stepping stones that were sometimes used to cross the river. "SunClan's territory is on the other side. I kinda wonder what it's like there."

"Yeah... too bad there's no way for us to know." Falconkit meowed thoughtfully. He got into the water and started rubbing the mud away.

Patchkit started washing the mud off.

Leafkit splashed her muddy paws in the water. She laughed. "Water might be fun to play with, too!"

Leafkit sprayed Falconkit with a splash of water. "Who knew getting clean could be so much fun?"

Falconkit started frantically splashing them. "Enough quarreling, guys! I'll soak ya!" he laughed.

"Hey, guys, look over there!" Patchkit mewed, pointing her paw toward the other side of the stream.

"Hey! They're calling to us! That one says his name is Sootkit." Leafkit smiled. "Hello; I'm Leafkit, a StreamClan kit!"

"I have an idea!" Patchkit mewed. "Let's go across on the stones, so we can talk to the SunClan cats close-up, and we can all can play together!"
