The Zero Tolerance Policy

Hey everyone.~
This is my idea for a site rule:

It has become apparent in the past that we all do not agree on things sometimes. This is okay as long as we agree to disagree, but when things escalate, they escalate fast.
Because of this, I think we should have a Zero Tolerance Policy when it comes to fights, bullying, etc. How this would be carried out is that if two people are fighting, then the instigator should be banned for 2-3 days.

Once the sentence has run its course, the ban will be lifted. Once that happens, the member who was banned is expected to shape up and be kind to everyone, as they should be. Every member will get a two ban limit, meaning that one member may only be banned twice and still be granted access to the site.
However.
In the event that the instigator continues picking fights, bullying, etc., they will be banned for a third and final time, meaning that no admin or mod may ever lift that ban.

If that was oddly worded [due to me making this a bit late at night] and you don't understand, the plan simply is this:

Be nice. If you bully people or pick fights, you will be banned for a period of 2-3 days.
• One ban = Strike one
• Two bans = Strike two
• Three bans = Strike three, you're out of the site for good.

*Note -- if Silverrose's Judges System is approved and implemented, then the Judges will administer the bans, determine how long they will last, and keep track of how many everyone has.

It seems a bit daunting to me to ban for 2-3 days the first time.
Maybe 1 day for the first strike, and 2-3 for the second, depending on what the person did.

Well, it can be flexible. I just chose 2-3 days so that it would really discourage fighting and belligerence on here because, lets face it, I think we are all very tired and weary from fighting. Perhaps a strict policy on that is necessary.
But maybe one day can be implemented for the first time. I'm just trying to think of what would be more effective.

I love this idea! I agree with Swirl with the whole warning stuff. If my idea comes into play, then they would decide the punishment. :3
