The Great Mall Adventure - A Dramedy Crossover RP

Robin nodded his head as each Inkling introduced themselves. "Slyk," he repeated, pointing to each one as he spoke their name, "and... Lill?" He wanted to be sure that he had it right.

Slyk nodded his head, and even gave a thumbs-up. "{Yup! You got it, big guy! Heh... This dude's alright.}"

Lill nodded along with Slyk after Robin had successfully repeated both of the Inkling's names, looking up at him and grinning enthusiastically once again. "{Hahah; he really is...!}" she responded, briefly glancing at Slyk as she spoke.

"{Weeelllll... We'd better get goin' now.}" Looking up at Robin once more, he waved again. "{Hey, nice meetin' ya... But we've gotta run. See ya around, bro!}" He began walking away, though he paused for a moment to give Lill some time to say goodbye as well.

"{Yeah, I guess so,}" Lill agreed, also turning to look up at Robin one more time with a little wave. "{Heh; maybe we'll bump into each other again!}" she said as she began strolling away with Slyk. "{But yeah; bye for now...!}" she called back over her shoulder a moment later.

Robin waved at the two Inklings as they left, then turned and returned to meet with Lucina and Isabelle. "They seemed like pretty nice kids... I think," he noted, briefly looking back over his shoulder. "I wonder if we'll see them again?"

Meanwhile, Izz strolled along, pushing her Splat Roller and leaving a wide trail of pink ink on the floor as she went. "{Can you believe those guys?!}" she huffed to Zip. "{I mean, joining forces with that big jerk... He was a GIANT! And you should know; he picked you right up off the floor like a ragdoll!}" She let out a sigh. "{That was REAL fair.}"

"They did appear quite nice, from what I could tell," Lucina agreed with a thoughtful expression, looking in the direction that the blue Inklings had went. "Of course, I was merely observing from a distance..." she noted.

"I hope we get to see them again; maybe we can even try talking to them some more!" Isabelle chimed in, eager to possibly befriend the two squidlike individuals eventually.

"{Ugh; that was totally RIDICULOUS,}" Zip agreed as he strolled alongside Izz, pushing his Splat Roller along in a similar fashion. "{We've gotta have a rematch soon!}" he continued with a huff.

"I hope so," Robin responded. "If only we could actually understand each other's speech, though... That language barrier made things a bit difficult," he commented, chuckling awkwardly. "Still, though, I'm glad we managed to communicate at all. It was an interesting experience."

"{Yeah... Totes,}" Izz agreed. "{And if they go bringin' that dude again, we'll ink him right up FIRST. No mercy! NO MERCYYYY!}" Laughing somewhat maniacally, she shook her Splat Roller around in the air, sending pink ink splattering everywhere.

"Haha, yeah... It was definitely better than nothing," Isabelle agreed with Robin, nodding her head a little and smiling as she gazed into the distance momentarily.

Zip quickly joined Izz in sending pink ink flying all around them, bursting into somewhat-maniacal laughter as well as he swung his Splat Roller back and fourth. "{YEAHHHH! We'll show them!!}" he grinned.

"Er... This is some mess, though," Robin noted, looking around at the vibrant blue-and-pink puddles and splatters covering every surface. "I feel sorry for whoever's going to have to clean this up." Looking down at his own coat, he sighed. "And we're quite a mess, too, aren't we?"

Suddenly, two somewhat-large, very serious-looking guards approached the pink Inkling duo. "Excuse me," one of them began very curtly, "what do you think you're doing?"

Izz stared up at the guard who spoke. "{Hey! Outta the way, dudes!}" she spluttered, baring her fangs. "{Do you WANNA get inked?!}"

(I couldn't think of any fitting guard-characters this time, so have some random guys. xD)

"Mhm... It's certainly going to take much work," Lucina responded in agreement as she glanced around at the colorful, inky mess. She then stared down at her tunic upon hearing Robin's next comment and nodded. "Yes, we are... How do you suppose we'll go about cleaning it?"

"{Yeah, dude; do ya?!}" Zip added with a huff, standing a little taller as he stared up at the two guards.

"I have no idea," Robin admitted. "Our clothes are so soaked, I don't think there exists a soap powerful enough to get all the stains out. Well, unless it's some kind of secret, magical soap... ... ...!" Just then, his eyes lit up. "Hey... You don't think that mage we met earlier would have anything like that in his shop, would he?"

Seeing as the Inklings didn't appear to be cooperating, the guards quickly took them, each guard carrying one under an arm. "You kids are going straight to the dungeon for making such a mess of our mall," the other guard told them as they marched to the nearest hidden warp panel.

When she found herself being carried away, Izz began to squirm and attempt to fight back. However, it was no use; the guard was too strong, and she could hardly do anything.

"Perhaps he does...!" Lucina replied, a glimmer of hopefulness appearing in her gaze. "It wouldn't be of any harm to find out, at least," she continued, once again staring down at her ink-splattered tunic.

After a failed attempt to struggle free from the guard's grasp, Zip let out a frustrated huff and cast a glance in Izz's direction. "{Where do you think they're takin' us...?!}" he thought aloud, sounding slightly nervous.

"C'mon! Let's go back and ask him!" Walking carefully at first as not to slip on the ink, Robin began heading in the direction he thought the magic shop was in. Of course, a lot had happened since he was last there, but he figured that, if he remembered the surrounding stores and scenery, he could find it.

"{I dunno, man,}" Izz responded, also a bit nervous. This nervousness soon morphed into a sort of frenzy, driving her to one last, desperate attempt to get free. Shouting furiously, she began to slap the guard's arm repeatedly with the tentacles on her head.

The guard gasped as his arm was pummeled by the berserk Inkling's pink tentacles. "ENOUGH!" he barked, roughly grabbing the tentacles one-by-one and stuffing them under his arm, as well. "Just for that, you're getting a whole cell all to yourself."

When her tentacles, too, became trapped, Izz began to scream very loudly and incessantly in anger. This screaming would continue for the entire journey to the dungeon.

Quickly (yet cautiously), Lucina began to follow Robin when he started moving, lightly and elegantly motioning for Isabelle to follow.

With a nod, Isabelle followed along behind Robin as well, hopping over the occasional puddle of ink as she went.

As the tentacles on his head were much shorter than those of Izz, all Zip could do was dangle limply from the guard's arm as he was carried away to the dungeon, feeling helpless and frustrated along the whole journey.

Once the three had left the ink-covered zone, the journey began to move more quickly.
Robin carefully examined every detail of their surroundings as they walked, trying to determine where they were in relation to the shop. "It would be nice if we could find a map," he noted somewhat quietly.

Once the guards had arrived at the dungeon, they began locking away their Inkling prisoners. First, they stopped in front of a particularly-lonely cell, away from many others. They pulled the metal-barred door open, then tossed Izz, who, after screaming and struggling for so long, had tired herself out somewhat by now. After slamming the door shut, they proceeded to walk away, still carrying Zip, looking for a cell to place him in.

Izz pushed herself to her feet after landing in the cell, instantly rushing to the bars and staring out as the guards carried her friend and ally off. Before she could shout anything, they were out of sight. Feeling worn-out and low-spirited, she slunk to one of the benches by the cold, stone wall, sitting with a flop, crossing her arms, and pouting.

"Yeah... A map would be really handy," Isabelle agreed, watching out for anything that appeared to be a magic shop. Though she had never actually been to the place that Robin had mentioned, she still wanted to be of assistance to her new friends.

As the guards tossed Izz into the lonely-looking cell, Zip hardly had any time to react before they kept moving, still carrying him along. Looking defeated, he stared back in the direction of his friend and ally once more.

"I'm beginning to think we'll NEED one at this point," Robin admitted, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck. It seemed that, after everything that had happened, they were nowhere near the shop he and Lucina had been to before.

Eventually, after walking some distance, the guards stopped in front of another cell. Pulling the door open, they quickly pushed Zip inside, then shut and locked the door again. Then, without saying a word, they turned and left their prisoner alone.

Elsewhere in the mall, Slyk strolled along, looking around at everything as he went. "{Hey, this place is kinda cool, isn't it?}" he commented to Lill.

"Also, if we were to obtain one, our entire time in this place may seem a little less... overwhelming," Lucina added after Robin had finished speaking, observing their surroundings and noticing how unfamiliar everything seemed.

When Zip was pushed into his own cell, he slowly rose to his feet after a few moments and headed to a small bench by the back, sitting down with a little huff and staring at the wall with a pout.

"{It is! A lot of the stuff here seems really cool and different,}" Lill responded as she observed the many interesting shops and items that she and Slyk passed by, a fascinated look on her face.

"Alright, it's settled," Robin announced. "Our first step is to find a map. Then we can worry about getting to where we need to go."

After a moment of sitting (and pouting) on the bench, Izz regained some of her energy. Looking to her side, she noticed her Splat Roller, lying on the floor. As it turns out, the guards didn't take it with them, as it merely looked like a giant paint roller. Picking it up, then looking at the bars of her cage once more, she got an idea. {Heh... Heheh...! Of course!} She rushed up to the bars that imprisoned her, then, with her trusty Roller, began splattering the floor around it with pink ink. Once a large-enough puddle had formed, she changed into squid form and dove in. Sure enough, she was able to swim through the ink, then pop up on the other side of the bars, free.
{BOOYAH! Now, to find Zip...} Izz began to cautiously wander the corridors in search of her ally, making a small ink puddle every now and then in case she needed a place to hide.

"{Yeah...!}" Slyk agreed with a nod. "{Hey, maybe we could go shopping? Or maybe get some grub?}"

"Okay; sounds like a plan!" Isabelle replied cheerily, gaining an extra bounce in her step.

Zip, meanwhile, was now restlessly pacing the floor of his cell, occasionally stopping to stare idly outside. It seemed that he hadn't yet thought of the idea that had allowed Izz to so effortlessly escape.

"{Shopping would be fun,}" Lill started in agreement. "{Or, yeah, grub...! I could seriously use some grub right now.}"

Kirby heard something outside his cell. Dying for something--anything--to do, see, or eat, he ran to the bars of his cell and called out with a tint of desperation, "HAAAIIIIIIIIII~!!"

He grabbed the bars with his stubby arms and gave his biggest, saddest expression to the passerby.

All of a sudden, Izz heard a high-pitched voice, which startled her. "{AH! What's up?! Let's GO!!}" She whirled to face the direction of the sound, pointing her Splat Roller forward. However, upon seeing a mere puffball, she calmed down a bit. "{Oh... ... ... Who are you supposed to be?}" Slowly, she approached the cell, while still keeping on the watch for patrolling guards.

"{Alright; let's get some grub, then.}" Slyk began to search for a shop selling anything appetizing. However, this would be a difficult task if he couldn't read any of the signs.

Kirby looked curiously and longingly at the funny person. She made the most adorable noises. Would she be good to eat?

Kirby pulled repeatedly on the bars, indicating that he wanted to go free.

It seemed that this puffball wanted to escape his cell. "{You wanna bust outta here, too, huh?}" she asked with a fanged grin. "{OK, let's see here... You're no Inkling, so you can't exactly swim under those bars. But what if I inked 'em up and made 'em easier for ya to slip through...?}" At this, she began to smear great quantities of pink ink all over the bars of Kirby's prison with her Splat roller.

Kirby backed away when the ink hit the bars. He touched them curiously and found that they were far more slippery than before. He managed to squeeze his little body straight through.

When he realized he was out, he danced and squeaked triumphantly. Then he jumped into the lady's arms and hugged her happily. There may even have been a little heart coming out the top of his head.
