Chatbox Issues

Hi everyone it's Silverrose!

As you know, the Chatbox is acting funny, or not working at all.

Several admins including myself are working hard to fix the issue, but so far have only reached dead ends.

Part of me thinks it is a forumotion glitch that can not be fixed at the moment. Another things perhaps something in the ACP is causing it to act up.

Hopefully you'll all be able to figure out what happened. :/

My guess is it's a glitch in the forumotion system. I have several ideas on how to fix it, but I am going to talk to KP about it first before I make any changes, just so I don't screw up the site xD

I've tried unactivating it, reactivating it, moving it to the bottom of the homepage and back again. It's still messed up.

As have I, I think it's a problem with the CB itself. I've checked all over the ACP and I don't see where anyone could have messed it up manually, but it doesn't mean it isn't possible. Dx

But I seriously doubt anyone would have one purpose.

I doubt anyone would do anything on purpose either. A few inexperienced people could have maybe been in the ACP and accidentally messed something up. A lot of people might nit have the experience like you or Twily.

And yes, it's only ETF. Several sites I am on work fine...so I am actually starting to think it WAS a member.

We do have some admins who are kinda inexperienced in the ACP...one of them may have clicked something wrong.

The thing is I can't think of anything that would screw up the CB purposefully...I will do some re-search.

Worst case scenario we would have to somehow re-set the site. But I don't know if that's entirely possible unless we did it manually.

I didn't do anything. This morning, it was broken, and this morning, I wasn't an admin. (now, on the other paw)

Apparently I have to make a new account to use it. WHY Dx
