Yay, a Mario club on here too!! : D So, I guess if this will be a club, I'll tell why I like Mario.

I like games with a story. Of course, I like the Mario Kart series too, but I like the suspense, and how you have to ask yourself, "What will happen next?". Like Mario Kart, some games don't have a story (although it's really fun), but most do, and that's why I like it.

The MAIN reason I like Mario is because it has the princess we all know and love...

Any normal Mario fan's answer: PEACH!!!

My answer: -.- DAISY. The princess I wish we all could know and love. She's epically AMAZING!!! HowcouldanyonenotlikeherImeanit'sobviousshe'sdabestgalinMarioevah--I mean, in my opinion...

Haha, I'd say Rosalina for that, but she's not even the main reason I like Mario. I love the super-emotional endings and addictive gameplay, along with the epical characters, many of which I wish would be in more than just one game, [Mallow, Geno, Goombella, Vivian, and Nastasia, just to name a few, although SQUARE ENIX HAD TO CLAIM MY DEAR GENO AND MALLOW'S COPYRIGHTS. >.<] and those of which who appear in more than one have certain aspects that remind me of me. x33 [Mallow is an exception, even though he was only in one game. xD]

Yes, I guess I can agree to that. xD There might be ONE OR TWO people other than me who know about Daisy at my school (I think I've asked every single person), but I don't know anyone who knows about the amazing Rosalina. :c That's kinda sad, because I'm a fan of her, too.

I meant to show you this before, but...
http://www.setsunakou.com/ufo/supermariobros.html

They're really expensive, but there's a Geno plush!   Whaaaaaaat? I bought the Daisy one a few years back when I became really angry that they didn't have an official plush (although NOW they do...I bought that one as soon as it came out, but the first one still means a lot to me) , and it costed a LOT (since it was custom made), but it was SO WORTH IT. I just wanted to show you, because the Geno plush is adorable

I can assure you that Rosie has plenty of fans out there; last time I looked at a thread somewhere asking people what their favorite video game characters were, I saw her name pop up twice (or maybe more; I was kind of skimming) on page one alone. x3 But no matter how many fans there are in reality, one can never seem to run into any of them outside of the internet. It's really strange.

... And that Geno plush is quite cute. ;3;

Oh my gosh I so want that Geno plushie. o3o
I would die if I had one of those x3

Does anyone else find it overly disappointing that Square Enix would claim the copyrights to use Geno when they don't use him for absolutely anything? All they're getting from that is fan hate. >.<;;

I actually had no idea, until I looked it up, and, now...I definitely find it disappointing. I mean, if they're not doing anything with them, what's the point? Geno was amazing, and they stole him.  Crying or Very sad

No, they don't.
Why would you have a copyright for characters you don't even USE? It's so stupid. Everyone was all "GENO FOR BRAWL" and then comes Square Enix raining on our parade.
Way to go, Square. You just gained a TON of fans there.

I'm a pretty big Mario fan, but I've only played the stuff since the 64, so I don't really know Geno. (Although he sounds like a great character, I have no way to play Seven Stars)

^Rosalina is also my favorite female character. My favorite overall is King Boo, because IMO he's more interesting than Bowser. (Unless you count Dry Bowser and Meowser who are both epically epic)

King Boo? Yeah, he's okay.
I always liked Bowser Jr. more than Bowser.

King Boo has succeeded in capturing Mario TWICE. Bowser just fails time and time again. And yeah, I prefer Bowser Jr. over Bowser, too, because SMS.

I didn't say Bowser was BAD. I just mean that I'd appreciate a different main villain in a non-Paper Mario-type game. They should never really get rid of Bowser, but out of all the characters, he's the most deserving of a hiatus in my opinion (Although Nintendo proved they still knew how to handle Bowser when they made Meowser. Bowser variants are cool)

But just in case, I'd try to download it before the 20th of May. Just in case the closing of the Wii/DS wi-fi servers affects the Wii Shop Channel, too.

^They're slowly shutting down most of the DS/Wii stuff to make room for more 3DS/WiiU stuff. Sharing on Flipnote is already gone, if I'm not mistaken.

I mostly used Flipnote just to watch others' work anyway. Back in the day, I was a fail at making my own.

But if they did something, like, I dunno, ACTUALLY RERELEASE FLIPNOTE FOR 3DS LIKE THEY'VE BEEN PROMISING SINCE LIKE 2012, then I'd use it all the time.

But seriously, Nintendo, Swapnote does NOT equal Flipnote. I've never seen an AMV or funny little clip on Swapnote. Swapnote just isn't entertaining. Flipnote could hold my attention for hours, though. :(

I meant that on the 20th of May, the wi-fi connection servers for all Wii and DS games (not WiiU and 3DS games) will be shut down. In other words, wi-fi play will no longer be possible on any games released for those systems. It's just an inevitable happening when it comes to any games with online play; when games become "obsolete", their servers will eventually be shut down, as the cost of keeping them up would be an unnecessary expense for the company.

And I'd better finish unlocking the characters.  Whaaaaaaat? I knew this would happen, but not so soon, at least for the Wii. I can see the DS stuff retiring, but I thought the Wii U wasn't doing too well, so they'd keep the Wii things open a bit longer. Looks like that's not the case. :(
