Thrushstar glanced at the border, acknowledging to himself that Robinstar wasn't too far into his territory and the border wasn't that strong. He'd have to assign a border patrol later. "Well it's a good thing it wasn't that serious, or else I'd have to tell my leader," he joked. "Oh wait, I am the leader." He laughed.

She chuckled. "Oh yes.. I bet I'll be doing apprentice duties for a week." She smiled, and turned around "I'm truly sorry. I hope that squirrel feeds BerryClan well."

"I'm sure it will," Thrushstar smiled.

She gave a quick nod, and started walking off.

"Thank goodness. He was very nice. Man... If he had been mean, I may have lost my first life." she closed her eyes as she scented herself going across the border "I want to talk to him again sometime."

(Time skip? But what happens to bring the two of them together again?)

Thrushstar grinned and padded away, continuing his casual stroll.

(I think we should keep time moving like normal, at least until we can decide what would bring them together again)

Robinstar barely slept that night. She didn't feel all that sleepy, and also her mind was very busy, going over what had happened with Thrushstar. And eventually she realized where she had crossed the border. Thinking of her mistake made her blush. She flexed her claws into the dirt, and watched them move. Trying to calm herself

"I'm fine with that," Waterkit laughed. She was just glad Brightkit agreed to go along with it. "Let's go," she whispered. She looked around to make sure no cat was paying attention to them, and when the coast was clear, she crept toward the back entrance to the camp and waited for Brightkit, thinking about where they should look for prey.

Brightkit quickly looked around and slipped over to where Waterkit was. "Where do we go now?" she asked.

"Hmm, maybe... forward?" Waterkit shrugged. "I've never been out of camp before, you know," she chuckled slightly nervously. "I'm not stopping though! Let's just... go where the food takes us!" She took a moment to taste the air, caught a faint scent of mouse, and started following the scent trail.

("Go where the food takes you". Best advice ever xD)

Brightkit nervously watched Waterkit leave and followed her, keeping her tail slightly raised so it didn't drag on the ground.

Waterkit continued to creep forward. The trail was leading them into some undergrowth. The closer to it they got, the more powerful the delicious smell of mouse became. "It must be hiding in there," Waterkit mewed to Brightkit, trying to keep her voice down. "Maybe one of us should try and spook it out while the other waits to pounce."

Brightkit glanced at the undergrowth and nodded. "I'll do it. I'll scare it out and you catch it. Whenever you're ready, Waterkit."

Waterkit closed her eyes and focused. You can do this. Prove that kits aren't too young to hunt by themselves. It's gonna taste so good, go on and rip its throat out! It's waiting for you! She got into the best crouch she could. "I'm ready," she said to Brightkit confidently.

Brightkit tried to position herself in a way that would lead the mouse to her sister. After standing still for a couple seconds, she quickly reared up on her hind legs. Her front paws slammed against the ground, and the startled mouse raced out of the undergrowth, unknowingly going right toward Waterkit.

Waterkit acted quickly, pouncing on instinct. She tried to get a good hold of it, but she slightly misdirected her leap, and the mouse was there scrabbling half free under her. Waterkit tried not to lose hope of catching it. Wasting no more time, she tightened her grip and quickly gave it a sharp bit to the neck. She felt the mouse go limp and let go of it, looking over at Brightkit with her eyes shining. "It almost escaped, but... look!" she mewed joyfully.

"You did it!" Brightkit mewed, trying her best to keep her voice down in the excitement.

"With your help!" Waterkit beamed. "We're so awesome, look at how dead it is!" she laughed, prodding the mouse with her paw. "If Mellowflower found out we did this, do you think she would be more proud or mad?"

"Proud," Brightkit said. "We're only kits, but we can already hunt. We'll be great warriors."

"Yes, we're definitely going to be great! We'll have had everything going for us since early on," Waterkit laughed. She looked at the mouse again, her mouth watering. "Ah, I can't take it anymore, this mouse smells so good. Let's eat him!"

"But isn't that against the warrior code?" Brightkit asked. "We're supposed to give it to the other warriors."

"We came to get something to eat by ourselves, remember? And we didn't come on a hunting patrol," Waterkit laughed, smiling mischievously. "It's good to be thinking of the warrior code, but this mouse is totally ours!"

"I guess you're right," Brightkit grinned. "Now let me have the first bite!"

"Oh yeah, I think I remember agreeing to something like that," Waterkit chuckled. "Sure, go ahead."
