Lilyfrost dipped her head and padded dejectedly into the clearing. When she reached Snowleaf she looked down at her with tears in her eyes. "I'm so sorry..." she whispered. She sat down beside her and pressed her face into her fur.

Leopardpaw ran towards Snowleaf's body, her paws shaking. "How...how..." If she DID become Shadowdragon's mate, she'd feel terrible. His former mate was DEAD!

Meadowdawn was busy sorting herbs in her den. What a boring day... she thought, as she gently placed the catchweed in its pile.
A few minutes later, after all the medicine was sorted, she heard commotion in the camp. What now?
And then she saw it. Snowleaf's body, drenched in blood, in the center of the clearing. There was a sharp pain in her stomach.
