"Um… sure…" Baykit spoke softly, still afraid of Sandstream, despite the kind reassurance that she was receiving from the warrior.

Sandstream broke the prey into small pieces, easier for Baykit to chew on.
"I know you've had a hard life," she whispered, not looking at the kit, "but you don't have to be afraid of us."

Baykit's ears flattened sadly. "I'm afraid of everything…!" she mewled, terrified. "I can't get everything out of my head… I just wish it would stop!"
