Moonkit was growing more worried by the moment. When will they wake up? I want them out of there! She thought impatiently. I can't take much more of this! But they'd be really upset if I woke them myself. Moonkit let out a frustrated sigh, not knowing what to do.

"All right, then. You kits will learn some very special moves here in the Dark Forest—moves you wouldn't learn as a normal SunClan apprentice." Bramblefang explained, padding back and forth with the occasional twitch of her tail.

Moonkit's eyes shot open when she heard voices. Surprisingly, she must've fallen asleep at one point last night, she realized. Moonkit jumped to her feet and hurried over to Skykit and Sootkit. "Are you guys okay?! Did they hurt you?"

"Why would they hurt us?" Sootkit asked. He flicked his tail. "The warriors in the Dark Forest really aren't as bad as you think they are, Moonkit. Just relax and don't worry about us; we're perfectly fine." He sighed.

Dewkit raced out of the elder's den with a smile on her face. "Guys! Guys! Guess what? The elders just..." She slowed down when she noticed her friends; they looked as if they were talking about something very important.
"What's...wrong...?" she asked, worried.

(Sorry I haven't been on ETF in a while; I signed up for the RP 19 pages ago, though! xD)

"Nothing's wrong, Dewkit." Sootkit flicked his tail. "Moonkit's just being paranoid about me and Skykit, that's all." He sat down. "Anyway, what did the elders do?" he asked, hoping to change the subject so that Moonkit would stop fretting.

"Oh, okay!" Dewkit exclaimed, easily forgetting her worries about her friends. "The elders told me this AMAZING story about when they found a mother fox and two kits in the forest! They surrounded the family..."
Quickly she jumped up, baring her teeth like a fox.
"The fox leaped in the air, snapping her teeth this way and that!"
Dewkit pretended to snap at Sootkit "viciously", swooping her tail around as if she was protecting her kits.
"The fox tried to grab her kits and run, but they wouldn't let her! They zoomed in and scratched her flank, leaving scars for the rest of her life. Just when they were about to give her the death blow, she limped away. The elders said that they'd never seen a fox limp as quick as that! She must've been pretty scared of those strong, fierce SunClan warriors! Well, they're not so 'strong and fierce', now..." Dewkit giggled, smiling. "Anyway, isn't that cool?! They left their SunClan marks on that fox forever!"

"That's really cool, but I was with Skykit and we did something even cooler." Sootkit grinned deviously. "We've been training in our dreams in a great place called the Dark Forest! Moonkit isn't there with us, but I hope she can be. She doesn't like the idea for some reason, though, and I don't know why. There are good cats there." He glared at Moonkit and twitched his tail annoyedly. "It's a great, safe, fun place where we can be ourselves."

Dewkit's eyes widened in awe. "Wow," she whispered. "Can I go? Can I can I can I?! I'll behave, I promise! I've always wanted to...well, be myself." She looked down at her paws sadly, thinking of all the times she tried to start warrior training early, but how the other cats wouldn't let her.

"Sure, you can go," Sootkit smiled. "Anyone can go if they want to. And you seem like you want to, so... Next time you fall asleep, you'll be there!" he purred. "You can always be yourself in the Dark Forest; when you're there, you're completely free." He glanced from Skykit to Dewkit and purred happily again.

"Great! I wish I could go to sleep right now," Dewkit sighed. The sun was still high in the sky, and it seemed like FOREVER until she'd go to the Dark Forest.
"Maybe I could...take a nap right now?" Dewkit shook her head. She'd never be able to fall asleep now. "Well, I guess I'll see you tonight, then!" She smiled, a bit disappointed but still happy.

"It's okay, Dewkit. We can still train there later tonight." Sootkit reassured her. "It'll be completely fine; don't worry. It's a lot of fun there, too." He smiled with a small flick of his tail. "So, what should we do now?"

Dewkit's eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, you're going to the stream?! I'd love to go!" Dewkit bounced up and down, her gray fur flowing in the wind.

Moonkit bristled at Sootkit's positive words about the Dark Forest. Those two know very well why I don't like the idea-- they're putting themselves in great danger every time they visit those evil cats! Not to mention betraying StarClan! And now they're letting Dewkit be brought into this? I can't let her be corrupted too! She believes them! If only Skykit and Sootkit never had that bogus dream about StarClan trying to kill them, none of this would be happening!
"If you guys wouldn't be desperate to break rules and be dishonorable, you wouldn't need to go to an awful place like that to 'be yourselves'! I really wish you wouldn't trick Dewkit into going with you. I'm just trying to be a good friend and prevent you all from doing what's wrong." Moonkit growled quietly. "But you're not gonna listen to me." she murmured, sighing.
"I guess I'd go with you guys to the stream, though." Moonkit meowed halfheartedly. A least I'd get to see some cats who aren't bad influences, for a change!

Sootkit stepped back a few paces. "Okay... um... chill, Moonkit. We aren't going to do anything bad. StarClan has betrayed us, and that's why we've chosen to go to the Dark Forest instead. It's perfectly safe and fine there! StarClan is just too cruel to us; we can't put up with any of it if they're going to shun us and hate us just for this!" he ranted. "Let's just go to the stream now and get it over with. I hope we can meet up with the StreamClan kits again. We can tell them about what the Dark Forest is really like."
