Marie gave out a single, soft sigh after being tucked in, though her deep, peaceful sleep wasn't disturbed in the least.

"Right... We'd best leave it alone." Robin strolled over to where the newcomer slept, knelt down, and placed the long, black, shiny object somewhat near her, handling it with great care the entire time. Then, he went to his own sleeping area to finally get some rest... only to find Link sitting there.
"Link? ... Oh, right... The story." It took Robin a moment to remember what they were doing before they heard the singing. "Alright," he sighed calmly as he sat down, "let's see if I can think of something..." For a moment, he appeared deep in thought as he went over the group's adventures before reuniting with Link. Eventually, something came to him. Hopefully, it would be enough. "... Well... The events leading up to our first meeting with Torsolus were rather interesting," he recalled, thinking about the mysterious paper that guided them to where the portal opened, and the strange scene that unfolded there. Is there enough there to really count as a story, though...? he wondered to himself.

Now that everything seemed to be settled in camp, Cookie found herself growing tired again. It was very late, after all. "Welp... I'm gonna go to bed for real now," she quietly announced to the others. "See ya tomorrow...!" She scurried back to where she was before, plopped down, curled up, and quickly drifted off to sleep.

"Yeah... It's so late," Athena agreed in a bit of a murmur, glancing up at the moon, high in the sky. "Better hit the sack now if we still want to get up at a decent hour...!" As she went to the spot where she was to sleep, she briefly paused, turned around, and gave the others a small wave. "Gute Nacht!" she called back in a borderline whisper before continuing on her way, then settling in for the night.

[Stealthy]

Link's eyes widened and he lay down, gesturing for Robin to go on. Already the sleepiness began to collect on his eyelids, gently weighing them down.

Torsolus finally lay down, and resumed fidgeting for a comfortable sleeping position. His movements were anxious and frequent. Finally, he found a good position...and became quiet.

[Tornadostorm]

(OOOOHHH MAYBE ROBIN EXPLAINS THE CHAOS PEAK OF THIS TIMELINE?!) 

Do you remember?? Could you ever forget?? No, I won't let you. 

You killed him

You murderer

You traitor

How could YOU ever be king?? Pest.

Flint fidgeted more in his sleep again, though he seemed to be more frightened then just upset, or unsettled. Mintpaw, unable to sleep for him keeping bumping into her, and making to much noise for her sensitive ears, finally stood, and parted her jaws in what seemed like a yawn, though what was actually her trying to locate everyone in the group. She was unable to sort Lucina's scent from the others, but she knew she was there. So she carefully made her way over to Athena instead, and gently settled herself in the curve of Athena's stomach. Being somewhat careful not to wake her, yet not being able to see how the girl was exactly positioned at the moment

(The explanation will happen... another day. *drama*)

(TIME SKIIIIIIP to the middle of the night~)

It was the middle of the night.

(... WOW I'M OBVIOUS. *Clap clap clap*)

Flint tossed and turned constantly, his frightened groans turning into panicked ones, and desprate hurried murmurs, until finally he sat bolt upright, eyes wide in horror, fully awake.

He took a deep long breath, and softly whispered "it's ok... It was just a dream."

Not at all desiring to go back to sleep, and go through THAT again, he stood, stretched his wings and brushed the debris off them. Crossing his arms, and panting slightly as he made his way through the group, attempting not to wake them.

He paused and stared down at the sleeping Marie for several moments. Who was this? Why were they there... Why were they using his blanket..?? With a soft dismissive sigh, he turned and continued past the aquatic creature. He kept walking. Trying to walk off his dream so he could at least be somewhat peaceful and restful for the rest of the night.

He unknowingly approached a dry riverbed. This river had eaten a bit through the ground, leaving a bit of a gorge where it once ran. While not dangerous if you fall in, you could still get a bit hurt.

Suddenly he heard a soft woosh behind him

Mintpaw jolted awake at Flint's slightly distant scream

[Stealthy]

Torsolus and Link woke up too. Torsolus was still groggy but Link was up immediately. That little bit of sleep was the most he'd had in ages, and was more than enough to recharge him in comparison to previous sleepless nights. He didn't hesitate to roll repeatedly toward the source of the scream, travelling as fast as he could go.

Torsolus heard Link's yells and got up, stumbling around and tripping over the place where Pit was sleeping. "Link....? Flint?? FLINT! I'M COMIN', BUDDY! Guys, wake up! I think Flint's in trouble!" That was his last warning before he took off running into the darkness, following Link's yells.

[Mistystar]

Pit was half-woken up by the somewhat distant sound of Flint's scream, the rest of his grogginess instantly vanishing when he felt somebody tripping over his makeshift bed. "Wha!?" With a jolt, he sat upright, hearing the commotion. Then, nodding briefly, he hastily scrambled to his feet and followed Link and Torsolus, hardly taking the time to question what was going on before he started running.

Lucina, who had only been sleeping quite lightly, quickly found herself jolting awake to the frantic shouts of her allies, as well. Pushing herself up, she glanced around their camp to make sure it wasn't under attack, then headed off to join the others.

Hearing this, Cookie instantly awoke and sat straight up. "FLINT?" At a great speed, she scrambled to her feet and rushed after the others.

"COMING!" It seemed that Athena was asleep one second, then on her feet and sprinting after the others the very next. The transition between was incredibly easy to miss.

"Wha-...?!" Robin's eyes flew open. "Flint...!" he gasped, pushing himself up and also joining the rest.

Somehow, through all of this commotion, Marie remained exactly where she was; still fast asleep, and now even snoring a little.

[Tornadostorm]

Flint wasn't far off. And he didn't cry out any more after that once.

Link arrived at the scene to find Flint, flying in midair over the gorge, swipe his tail at something. He had his back to the group as they arrived. Then, after a few moments of staring at the ground below him, he turned to face the others, still in midair. "Oh...." He rasped. "What are you doing awake?" He landed on the edge, a few rocks falling down into the dry gorge below as he did so.

Mintpaw strode up last off all "Are you ok?" She asked gently, not smelling any unnervingly high level of fear scent from the white Kattaca "We heard you scream." Flint blinked a few times at her. "Oh... Uh... I almost fell into the dry riverbed." His tone betrayed his shame at this. "I'm fine though." He added in a quick harsh snap.

His wings drooped "I didn't mean to wake anyone up..." He thought distressed "Oh well... It happened. Can't change it."

[Stealthy]

Link sat there panting, looking at Flint in wide-eyed appallment. Torsolus started out looking frustrated, balling up a fist....then he wobbled as though trying to remain standing up from sleepiness...and then finally spoke. "That's fine, buddy. Glad you're OK! Watch where you're going, or the riverbed will become YOUR bed, too! Hahahaha!"

[Swallowfeather]

"Oh... ... PHEEEEEEEEW...!" Cookie gave a rather over-the-top sigh of relief. It was perfectly genuine, however. "So, uh, guess we should all go back and get some more sleep then, right?" she laughed somewhat awkwardly, rubbing an eye.

Athena wasn't exactly sure how to react. She was very relieved Flint was alright, yes. However, at this rate, the group wasn't going to be very well rested the next day. She simply gave an awkward sort of laugh. "Yeeeaaaahh... Let's get back," she agreed.

Robin simply gave a subtle sigh, mostly of relief, nodding in agreement with Cookie and Athena.

[Mistystar]

"Eheh... Yep," Pit agreed with an awkward chuckle of his own, sounding mainly relieved, though also rather groggy.

Though Lucina was still a little on-edge after the sudden commotion, she closed her eyes and sighed gently in relief. Also agreeing with Cookie, she gave a small nod of her head.

[Stealthy]

Link stuck his sword back in his shield and turned around back toward the camp. Torsolus put his hand on Flint's shoulder to guide him. "C'mon, buddy. Let's go back to bed."

[Tornadostorm]

Flint pawed Torsolus' hand off his shoulder without hesitation, making an annoyed growl in the process. But he followed alongside Torsolus. His head hanging, and his wings drooping.

Mintpaw followed behind the others once more. Carrying a bundle of emergency medical herbs which had delayed her coming in the fist place between her jaws. A bunch of cobwebs was also stuck to her nose.

Cookie, Athena, and Robin all began heading back to camp, as well. Quite unusually, they all moved at roughly the same speed.

Back at camp, Marie was, of course, still sleeping, and entirely oblivious to what just went on. She hadn't even shifted to a different position in her sleep.

(Woot, timeskipping to morning~ Misty had no special plans for anything to happen that night/on the way back, so she should be fine with this.

... OK, I don't really feel like being all overdramatic and describing the loveleh loveleh morning in teh wild, so-)

Before too long, morning had arrived.

Flint never fell asleep again, he was leaning against his tree, picking grass, when Mintpaw woke up.
She walked over to him, when she heard he was awake "What was that last night?" She asked gently "A mistake." He responded coldly. "I mean, why were you awake?" He glanced at her thoughtfully for a moment. "Nightmare. Took me a long time to wake myself up. Too long."

She tilted her head "I thought you'd sleep soundly after so long." he watched her for a moment "what happened is exactly what I thought would happen. Why I haven't slept sense. Until you forced me to have those seeds." She pinned her ears, forcing herself to speak softly "I wanted to help you!" He rolled his eyes "Whatever. Please don't feed those things anymore." She swished her tail "Ok... Fine..." She walked away, her fur fluffed with irritation.

[Stealthy]

Link slept right in. His sighs were peaceful, and seemed to blend with the gentle sound of wind.

Torsolus slowly woke up when he heard them talking, but didn't raise his head until a few phrases had already been exchanged. His head drooped like hanging fruit off a tree, til he forced it up on his shoulders. He quietly blinked and rubbed his eyes, trying to wake himself up. He looked at his surroundings in the morning light.

(You don't feel like describing the morning wild? Well good, cuz I DO. Mweheheheheh.)

The sun peeked up over pinkish clouds, barely beginning to illuminate the sky in daylight, not yet broad. Setpieces from multiple universes--some familiar, some not--mixed and matched to form a beautiful spring meadow. The grass was long and wind blew it around as the sunlight bounced vibrantly off the little drops of dew. Huge pastel butterflies sailed from dandelion to dandelion, sometimes landing on the party members. One rested on Flint's ear, one on cookie's blanket near her face, one on Lucina's hand, and one on Torsolus' sleepy head. But most of all they congregated around a large, green, full tree, standing alone in the meadow like a dancing landmark, swaying in the wind. Big flowers bloomed all over its surface, and the butterflies loved them.

Torsolus gasped in awe as he took in the scene. He looked even a little teary-eyed. His mouth visibly searched for words, but all he could get out was, ".....Colors........all the colors......"

[Mistystar]

Pit felt the sunlight of morning on his face, causing his eyelids to flutter open. He had managed to get a fair amount of sleep after what happened last night, so he felt decently rested. Slowly rising from his bed, he glanced briefly over at Flint, wondering how the Kattaca was currently doing.

Though it had taken her slightly longer to fall back asleep last night, Lucina had also regained a satisfactory amount of energy before waking up a few moments ago. Just as she was about to rise to her feet, however, she noticed as a quite-impressive butterfly landed on her hand and took a moment to admire it.

Meanwhile, the dark-tentacled squid creature was just waking up now, still nestled into the same gap in the wall of the cave she had entered the night before. "Ugh..." she groaned softly, feeling rather stiff as she popped out and changed back to her humanoid form. Immediately being greeting by the darkness of the cave, a disappointed look appeared on her face. I guess it wasn't a dream after all, then... she thought, sighing. Then, glancing to her sides, she turned to the direction where she came from last night, starting on her walk to the cave's entrance.

Flint was about to paw at the butterfly on his ear, but then he realized what it was, and moved more carefully. Grabbing the insect by it's body and pulling it off him. He held it where he could see it. Mesmerized momentarily by it's wings. Then he released his fingers, allowing the butterfly to fly away.

Mintpaw disappeared, going off in an attempt to catch breakfast for herself.

When Cookie's eyes popped open, she was greeted by the sight of an enormous, softly-colored butterfly. Instantly, she grinned from ear to ear. "Helloooooooo...!" she spoke to it sweetly, her tone overflowing with joy. She chose not to sit up until after the butterfly had flown away by its own choice.

Athena stretched upon waking, quickly rising into a sitting position. "Good morning, everybody!!" she called loudly to the rest, almost as if not noticing that some were still very much asleep. Just then, she looked over and noticed the tree in the meadow. When she first laid her eyes upon it, her jaw slowly hung open. "... Whoooooaaaa..." Gradually, she rose to her feet and took a moment to simply gaze upon it in amazement.

When Robin awoke, it was due to Athena's incredibly loud shout, as he had still been sleeping just a moment before. He groggily pushed himself up, allowing his gaze to drift across his surroundings as his eyes focused. With a soft sigh, he stood. Since he was up so early, he figured he might as well help with the preparation of breakfast. He went off to gather some supplies they'd need.

Somehow, despite the sheer loudness of Athena's greeting, Marie didn't awaken; she only stirred a little. She floppily turned onto her side, then her stomach, then finally lied still once more. She was nestled under he blanket so cozily, only the top half of her head could be seen.

[Stealthy]

Torsolus walked up to the tree with Athena, anxious to join her.

He stared at it in awe.

He hid his head in his hands, making tiny, squeaky hiccup noises....he was crying.

He made a little sniff.

"We had a tree like this in front of our house....Athena....have you ever seen a tree with so many colors??"

His voice was full of sorrow, with only a tinge of happiness.

"Never in my life...!" Suddenly, Athena noticed the emotions behind Torsolus' voice. "Huh? ... Hey, what's wrong?" she asked him concernedly, her eyes somewhat wide. This ally of theirs was usually so upbeat and enthusiastic, hearing him like this all of a sudden came as a bit of a surprise.

[Stealthy]

Torsolus fought back the tears. "It--it--it's nothing. It's---it---I.....*sigh*....I miss home, is all." He smiled at Athena. "What's your home like? Does it have trees like this one? Hehehe!"

[Mistystar]

When the butterfly on Lucina's hand had flown away, she rose to her feet and looked around camp in search of some way to help out. Eventually, she settled on the idea of gathering some supplies for breakfast, much like Robin had, and set off to do so.

After a little while, the dark-tentacled squid-creature emerged from the cave, taking a long, deep breath of the outside air. Giving her arms a stretch, she then began moving forward once more. She was quickly interrupted, however, upon feeling a large rumbling in her stomach, and it was at that moment she realized how long it had been since her last meal. Oh, man... Where am I gonna find FOOD, now? There's hardly anything here at all...! she thought anxiously, quickening her pace somewhat. I'd better get moving before I'm all out of energy...

Flint had been leaning against the tree this whole time. His ears were tilted towards Torsolus, but he didn't look at the Humid, nor say a word to him. He stood, stretched, and started helping Robin out with breakfast. It seemed he had gotten his dad's affinity for cooking.

Mintpaw came back. Looking rather annoyed. Then a soft rumble in her stomach proved that she hadn't had any luck with hunting that morning. Not that a medicine-cat apprentice, and a blind one at that, would be all that great at hunting.
