Random Nuzlocke-related Poll

OK, so my battle with Arceus in my Pokemon Pearl Nuzlocke will be (in my head) a pretty big deal. But I dunno how to balance dramatic stakes with practical playability. Except, maybe I do. But I dunno if I should go for it.


After beating Cynthia, the Nuzlocke stopped. But facing Arceus, it will be started again until the battle is won or lost, but modified.

The goal is to capture Arceus in a normal Pokeball, or in any kind of Pokeball that is really useless. (Suggestions for random useless obtainable Pokeballs in DPP would be cool :D)

Healing items may be used at any time, but Revives may only be used between attempts. On the last attempt, when the capture is successful, anyone fainted at the end of the battle would be considered dead. For good.

There's only one problem: I love my team and I'm chicken!


If Bruce (Crobat) dies, I'll be out of my most reliable flyer, my personal Batman.
If Esquire (Lucario) dies, that'll be it for his adorable student-becomes-super-fighter story arc.
Twili (Weavile) dying would be a REAL pain because I only just started training the guy.
Poor Maybe (Gastrodon)...she's such a helpful tank, a sweetie, and the only girl on my team. I can't lose her.
IDK what I'd do if Rydel (Rapidash) died. I don't have much of a character going for him.
And Fidgel (Empoleon)...
Fidgel's been there since the beginning of the adventure. He's been reliable, surviving explosions, remaining high-leveled, dealing out damage and taking it like a champ. I'd hate to lose that guy.

As you can see the challenge would make for good drama and stakes, but do I really want it? That's for you to decide! Thanks guys! ~

I think you should just go for it. It's a Nuzlocke. You're bound to lose someone, and this is even making it easier.
