Lucas: *Inserts a coin, then notices Richter looking confused beside him* o.o! Oh... *Takes out another coin and leans closer to Richter's machine* Here--*stretches out his arm and inserts the coin*--you just need to put a coin in the machine first. n3n

Richter: o-o! Oh, right... Thanks. >w>; You didn't have to use one of your own coins, though! *Takes a moment to take out a coin of his own* *Offers it to Lucas* Here. I'm paying you back.

Lucas: *Looks oddly surprised when he's offered a coin* o-o! A-ah? ... Er, I mean thanks. >w>; ... *Ends up hesitating a little* Are you sure, though? I don't mind, really~ nvn;

Mechanica: *Sits there, eagerly gripping the wheel as she waits for the game to load* *Is HYPED* owO

Richter: *Briefly leans forward a bit and cranes his neck to see what the others are up to* ... *Returns his attention to Lucas* I think the others are all using their own coins, though... *Offers the coin again* Please, take it. c: You've already helped me on several occasions, and--... *Gets an idea* o.o! Oh! Wait! *Takes out a SECOND coin and offers it as well* Actually, I'm going to take this opportunity to repay you a bit. Ness: *Waiting for the game to load* ... *Suddenly offers an excited fist bump to Marina, too* 8D

Ness: *Sees them all waiting at the starting line* 0ヮ0 *Eagerly gets his foot ready on the pedal*

Pearl: *SERIOUS BUSINESS FACE* *Steps on the pedal a couple of times in anticipation* ÒwÓ

Richter: *Is surprised when the screen suddenly changes* o__o! Huh? What's going on? Is it starting??

Mechanica: *Determination faaace* Ò3Ó *Instantly gets her foot into position*

Marina: *Places her foot at the pedal as well, raring to go* >ヮ<

Lucas: o.o! Mhm, looks like it!
Maria: *Sees what most of the others are doing now* Hmm, everyone's putting their feet on these! *Motions to the pedal on her machine, then places her foot on it* O3O
Lucas: Oh yeah, I think pressing that makes the car move forward...! 030 *Hastily gets his foot ready at the pedal*

(The countdown starts, with a small pause between each number: "3... 2... 1...")

Richter: Um, OK...? o__o *Awkwardly moves his foot to the pedal* *Instantly steps on it and holds it down, even though the countdown hasn't ended yet*

Maria: Huh...! Alright! O3O *Presses down on her pedal as well, also before the countdown is over*

("GO!")

Mechanica: *Zips forward* VrrrRRROOMMM! ÒヮÓ

Marina: *Has a similarly speedy start* >ヮ>♪

Pearl: *FLOORS IT* WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! >ヮ>

Ness: *Got the timing for the beginning boost ~just right~* *ZooOOoom* B-D

Richter: *Totally spins out at the start, since his foot was already pressing the pedal* *Sees most of the others going ahead right away with no problems* D:<?! Hey! What did I do?!

Lucas: *Steps on the pedal a moment after it begins* *Starts slow, but gradually picks up speed* 030
Maria: *Spins out just like Richter* Aah! What's going on?? OAÓ? *Watches helplessly as most of the others zoom ahead* omo; *Briefly lifts her foot off of the pedal and stamps it back down, thinking it might have just not been working the first time* >o>;
Lucas: *Glances from side to side at Richter and Maria, confused* *Is totally unaware of the beginning bonus/penalty* o-o;? What's wrong...??

Marina: *Sees a big ramp and goes for it* *Small cheer* >ヮ<

Richter: *Slowly starts moving after he's finished spinning out* Everyone else started moving right away, but we didn't! D:< *Grumbles* That's just not fair. >m>

Maria: *Finally starts moving as well* *Pouuuts* ono;
Lucas: Really?? 0-0 That's weird... Uhm... Maybe something's up with your pedals...? o-ò
Maria: But I'm moving just fine now! O3O; *Tries to peek over at Richter's screen to see if he's the same* *Quickly returns to her own screen before she totally goes off-course*

Richter: *Is also moving fine, but is overall confused* I don't even know what I'm supposed to do here... o__e; *Randomly swerves around*

Lucas: *Explains while flailing zooming forward* We've gotta follow the track and try to pass the other racers--oh, and avoid all the obstacles...! O.O
Maria: *Rapidly turns her wheel from side to side, swerving all over the place as she attempts to dodge things* O3O; ... *Happens to successfully jump over a small ramp in the process, having been in the right place at the right time* 0o0! Whoaaa!

Richter: *Is trying very hard not to bump into things* S-so I have to try and pass those other carriage things up ahead? o__o; ... Rrgh... That's going to be hard if I can't even catch up. >~> *Leans in as he presses the pedal harder, trying to go faster*

Maria: *Baffled* Yeah, how are we supposed to even get CLOSE to all of them?! 030;
Lucas: Ermmm... o-o; *Isn't very sure, himself* *Ends up going over a boost pad (which looks like two large arrows pointing ahead)* *Gets a brief, intense burst of speed* OH, try driving over the big arrow things on the ground! O.O
Maria: Uhhh, OK, got it! O3O *Keeps watch while still getting the hang of everything*

Richter: Arrows... >:/ *Is determinedly keeping an eye out for arrows on the ground* ... *Impatient* I don't see any! >~>

Maria: Me neither! ono
Lucas: You don't? o.o; Erm... They should be around there somewhere, though... They're big and glowy!

Richter Big and glo--*Sees one*--OHH! There! >:O *Frantically swerves towards it and gets the boost*

Maria: You found one?! 8O ... *Spots one at that moment* Ahh! I see one, too!! 0o0 *Turns sharply and just manages to get the boost*

(Sudden GUST OF STRONG WIND blows across the track (coming from the right side, specifically))

Richter: *Suddenly starts moving randomly to the left* ÒAÓ?! Wh--HEY! It keeps drifting to the left! *Steers against it* Why is it doing that?!

Maria: Whaaa?! OAO; *Frantically steering against it, as well* I-I dunno...!! ... *Gets pushed into a patch of mud by the wind* HEY, it drifted me right into mud! ÒnÓ
Lucas: *Also trying to steer against it* >3>; Oof...! I think that's--*notices that the random scenery around the track is blowing, too*--yep, it's got to be wind! 0.0

Richter: This is ridiculous! Who decided to put WIND in here?! >m>; No warning or anything... *Gets blown right off of the road* *Is slowed because off-road* òAó; And now I'm SLOWER for some reason!

Maria: You, too?! omo; Did you also get pushed into the MUD?? *Salty face* *Finally manages to pull herself out of the mud puddle* >o>;
Lucas: *Is swiftly blown into the trunk of a tree* O3<;
