"Pretty fine." Shinestreak said. She couldn't help but feel bad for Meadowdawn for not being able to have a mate.

(What is it?)

(That Meadow secretly wanted to be Shadow's mate but chose to be a med cat cause he never returned her feelings when they were young. And she still likes him. *shrugs*)

Shadowdragon smiled

(Epical. Now let's see what Glimmer thinks)

Cheetahpaw glanced at Shadowdragon. Oh… he's with Shinestreak. Are they mates yet? I've seen the way they look at each other. she thought, purring.

Lionpaw padded out of the apprentice den and looked at Cheetahpaw. "Hi." he said to is friend.

(Oh, wow! :D Awesome plot, Shadow! Sure, that's great!)

Meadowdawn awkwardly smiled. She had been quite good friends with Shadowdragon when they were younger, but they seemed to be growing farther and farther away. "That's great," she mewed. "So, Shinestreak...how'd you two become so close...?" she asked, actually kind of curious.

Shadowdragon stretched and stared into Meadowdawn's eyes for a minute.

While awaiting Shinestreak's reply, Meadowdawn glanced at Shadowdragon. She realized he was staring at her, and she quickly looked away. Don't be a mouse brain! she told herself.

Shadowdragon smiled at her. You have beautiful eyes! he thought.

Fur bristling awkwardly, Meadowdawn said, "Well, I better be getting back...lots of...herbs...to sort..." She didn't even want to hear Shinestreak's reply; she just wanted to get out of this situation. You're a medicine cat! she reminded herself. She quickly rushed into her den.

Shadowdragon sensed something wrong with her so she followed her. "Are you okay?" he purred.

Meadowdawn spun around. "Oh, yes...I-I'm fine," she mewed, looking at her paws.

Shadowdragon pressed against her. "You sure?"

"Shadowdragon, are you ready?" Shinestreak asked.

Shadowdragon looked out the medicine den. "In a minute." he purred.

Meadowdawn scampered away to the back of the den, quickly sorting through herbs. She knew she still had SOME feelings for Shadowdragon, but she was a medicine cat now...
"You should probably go to Shinestreak, now," she mewed, not looking up from her work.

"Meadowdawn....if something's wrong you can tell me." he said. He secretly had feelings for her but never told her.

"Let's go!" Sharppaw said from outside the den.

Shadowdragon licked Meadowdawn's ear then walked out of the den. "Okay."

"Hooray!" Sharppaw said.

Shadowdragon purred and wrapped his tail around his mate's. "Let's go."

"Yes, let's." Shinestreak said.

(*feels guilty for having to look at previous posts to remember Shinestreak's name*)

Shadowdragon led the way out of camp.
