Shadowdragon ran after her

Daisyheart was using all of her strength and all of her powers to make her go faster and faster. At the moment, nothing could stop her. Not Shadowstar, the leader of the Clan, and not even borders.

Shadowstar stopped and laid down from exhaustion

Daisyheart finally stopped, not struggling to breathe at all. Shadowstar was a tiny black speck behind her, and Daisyheart soon realized that her powers had gotten the better of her, and that she had to go back. Or else...
The border was close to her; so close that she could hear cats running around in the WillowClan camp. They probably wouldn't recognize me anyway, she thought with a sigh, heading back towards the OakClan leader.

Shadowstar waited, hoping she'd return.

Daisyheart slowly padded away from the border. It was unlike her NOT to run, but the memories of getting lost in the forest disturbed her greatly. Finally, she saw Shadowstar in front of her. "S-sorry about that," she muttered.

"It's okay." he purred. "I was worried you weren't coming back."

"Let's go back to camp, then, I guess," Daisyheart mewed, gathering up their prey.

"Okay." he said

Daisyheart led the way through the forest and into camp.

Shadowstar followed her and put the prey on the fresh-kill pile

Daisyheart quickly padded to her nest. It had been a long day...a long, confusing day. Why was Shadowstar acting so strange?

Shadowstar padded into the leaders den and laid down in his nest.

Breezeflight noticed Shadowstar coming into his den.

Shadowstar glanced at her. "What?"

Daisyheart wanted to just slip into sleep, but she couldn't, no matter how hard she tried. Her worries about why Shadowstar was acting odd was combined with her usual bad thoughts, her usual urges to run away because she didn't belong here.

Darkstorm had waited until the rest of WillowClan was asleep so he wouldn't accidentally frighten anyone, and silently padded over to the nearby creek. It was time to put his plan into action.

"The first step to controlling this power, is controlling my own deepest fear." he thought. "No matter how scary it is, no matter how much I want to look away, I can't. Not until I conquer it."

With this, he looked into the water, into the eyes of his own reflection. Suddenly, all of his Clanmates, everyone he ever cared about, seemed to appear behind him, ready to give him the absolute worst of their ridicule.

"You're only an illusion. Your words mean nothing to me. Not anymore." Darkstorm said to himself, bracing for what was about to come.

Breezeflight frowned. "Why'd you set the border on fire?"

"We're longer at peace." he growled.

"Why not?" Breezeflight asked, concerned.

"Silverstar broke my heart." he said, his pelt glowing red and orange

"But she just doesn't love you! She wants to be friends. If you were from the same Clan, how would you react? You couldn't force war upon her!" Breezeflight growled.

Shadowstar growled. "Of course I wouldn't do that to a clanmate. And your the one who said I wasn't loyal!"
