NightClan: Attack [Volume 1 Book 1]

"Cats of NightClan." Darkgem announced. "This is Leaf."

Although I doubt Leaf will survive an hour here. Poppyclaw thought.

Darkgem continued. "Leaf is a rogue from the group we attacked." At this, the whole Clan gasped.

Poppyclaw nodded.

"She wants to join NightClan." Darkgem explained, raising a paw to silence the cats.

Poppyclaw looked at Leaf.

"Leaf, do you promise to be vengeful and bloodthirsty from now on?" Leaf's eyes widened as Darkgem spoke, but she finally nodded. "I do."

She actually said yes? A normal kit her age would run off immediately. Poppyclaw thought. I guess I was wrong about this kit.

Darkgem was shocked, and she glanced at Poppyclaw. I was not expecting that. "Very well, then." she proceeded. "You will now be known as Sandpaw of NightClan, under the training of Poppyclaw, named for your mother."

I'm going to train her? Great! Now I can teach her the best battle moves, and tell her about our mission to kill the Gifted, and she can come and help us! Poppyclaw smiled. "Welcome to the Clan, Sandpaw!"

Sandpaw beamed as the Clan chanted her name. "I gave her to you because I knew you could teach her about the Gifted and why we want to destroy them." Darkgem purred, wrapping her tail around Poppyclaw.

"Of course I will." Poppyclaw purred.

Darkgem nodded. "Good. We attack them tomorrow." In a whisper, she added, "Make sure Sandpaw is ready."

"Okay." Poppyclaw whispered, nodding. "Come, Sandpaw." he beckoned her with his tail, ready to train her.

Darkgem yawned, ready to get some rest.

{Okey. sounds awesome.}
Poppyclaw purred.

"I'm going to go to sleep now." Darkgem meowed. "I'll let you sleep in my den when you're done training Sandpaw, if you want. The warriors can be chatty sometimes."

"Okay." Poppyclaw mewed. "Okay, Sandpaw. Now I'll tell you about a certain few cats that we'll be battling soon..."

Darkgem watched as Sandpaw's blue eyes lit up. She then padded off to her den.

{btw, feel free to control Sandpaw.}

"Okay, Sandpaw." Poppyclaw said. "There are these three cats that we're against. Roseblossom, a red cat, Jewelsky, an orange tabby, and Wheatpaw, an orange and white cat. These three cats are very dangerous."
"Just three?" Sandpaw mewed. "How is that a threat?"
"They aren't ordinary cats..." Poppyclaw meowed. "They have powers. They're more powerful than you can imagine."

Darkgem yawned and laid down on some fresh moss. Dark Forest, please visit me in my dreams tonight.

Poppyclaw looked at the suprised/scared look on Sandpaw's face. "And while they are powerful, they do have weaknesses. Roseblossom's, for example, is starfish."
"Starfish?" Sandpaw asked. "That sounds kinda weird."
"Roseblossom's Clan territory has a lot of water, and starfish are around the water."
"Oh."
"Jewelsky's weakness is poppy seeds, and Wheatpaw's is burghlstan."
"Burghlstan?" Sandpaw mewed confused. "What in the world is that?"
"I don't know..." Poppyclaw said. "But we will defeat all three of those cats, no matter what it takes!"

Darkgem closed her eyes. I hope Poppyclaw is doing a good job training Sandpaw. Correction: I know.

"So in order to destroy them, we need a lot of training." Poppyclaw meowed. "Sometimes, NightClan cats get training from Dark Forest cats at night. But we shall also train right now. Okay, Sandpaw. Show me what you know."

Darkgem tried to get to sleep, but she couldn't stop thinking about Poppyclaw.
