Tigerstar grinned happily, nodding to Mapleshade in satisfaction. Then, he turned to Thistleclaw and hissed, "Why can't you be more like her? All you do is lose our apprentices!"
Thistleclaw snorted. "Oh, please! That apprentice is obsessed with me; not exactly sure why. I'm helping hypnotize her, which, in my opinion, is most important--what if they find out?!"

Glimmerpaw was stuck in a place that Thistleclaw had told her was the "Circle of Death". There were six pine trees that were planted very closely together; Tigerstar and his warriors had taken long pieces of grass and sticks and tied them around the six trees, making it impossible for Glimmerpaw to escape. She thought of what Thistleclaw had said earlier...
"You're lucky; right now, you're our only prisoner. Usually, this area fits about four warriors."
Glimmerpaw gulped sadly. That sounded a bit too perfect; she had seen Cometpaw come in, and then later, Jewelsky, and even Roseblossom.

Mapleshade rolled her eyes. "I think you two quarrel too much. I'm older and more experienced than the both of you, so let's just leave it at that." she huffed.
"Hello? Need of herbs here..." Jewelsky mewed in panic.
"Oh, right." Mapleshade took Jewelsky away. "Let's go find some herbs for that wound of yours." She turned around to smile at Thistleclaw and Tigerstar.

Glimmerpaw gnawed on the grass that tied the trees together, desperately trying to get out to save her friends. "Roseblossom! Jeweeelsskkkyyyy!" she called. "Comet! Where's Cometpaw?!"
"HEY!" Thistleclaw stomped over to her, his eyes blazing furiously. "You better shut your mouth, ya little furball! We're trying to hypnotize the new guys."

Cometpaw was startled at how dangerous the "ki-kick" turned out to be. She tried to not let it bother her though, and to trust the Dark Forest cats who were so generous to let her train here early. Now left alone with Roseblossom, Cometpaw mewed,"I wonder where my Thistleclaw rushed off to, anyway?" A little uneasily she added, "I still didn't get to try any moves yet."
