The Experim-*Ahem*... Party (Whitefeather and Mistystar)

OK, we've experienced our first Party Crash in ARMS (it's going on all weekend wooooo), so now we have to make a joke RP about a massive Party Crash. xD

Basically, in-universe, a Party Crash is actually something held by ARMS Labs to gather data on fighters and such, but they disguise it as a "party". Generally, two specific "Featured Fighters" will be chosen for each Party Crash, so it's like a battle between them. However, we'll probably bend this a little, since this is going to be a SUPER PARTY CRASH. We'll probably have the Featured Fighters switch every now and then for funsies. There are featured ARMS, too (called "bonus ARMS"), and players who use them will get a little bonus. These switch and gradually cycle on a regular basis throughout the event. Additionally, Party Crashes have little special events that happen every so often, applying some special rule or restriction to all battles for a short while.

Since some characters seem to speak different languages, for the sake of smooth RPing, we're going to say that ARMS Labs has created some kind of central translator core or something. That way, all of the test subj-*ahem* guests can have no trouble talking to each other.

There will be no forms for canon characters, but we've decided to do something silly and fun. We might end up creating random scientist characters to fill the roles of the random ARMS Labs employees. What we'll do with these people, we'll see. It's probably going to be random, and likely dumb, too. xD

(OK PARTY TIME)

At a large plaza in the middle of the city, just as the sun was beginning to set, an enormous party had begun. There was music provided by a DJ, a dance floor, plenty to snack on, and even a person handing out free glowsticks of all colors, as well as other fun accessories. Right above the DJ, however, there was a gigantic video screen, and, technically, this was actually the most important thing of all. In truth, everyone was gathered here for one reason alone: ARMS. To fighters, this plaza was merely a waiting area. When it was time for them to compete, everyone in the plaza would be watching the action on the giant screen, cheering them on.

"HOW'RE Y'ALL DOIN' OUT THERE?!" the DJ asked the crowd, having just arrived recently. "This is DJ ATP, welcoming you to the PARTY OF THE CENTURYYYYY! ... Well, that is, until we have a BIGGER ONE, RIIIIIGHT?!"

The crowd proceeded to go wild.

Sitting upon a large throne positioned next to one side of the stage was Spring Man, one of the two current Featured Fighters. "WOOHOOOOO!!" he cheered along with the crowd, his ARMS stretching upwards as he pumped his fists in the air with great enthusiasm.

As the wave of intense celebration ran through plaza, Helix, who had simply been standing with the bustling crowd and observing the party around him, suddenly let out what sounded like an excited squeal and dashed to the dance floor. There, he proceeded to wildly wiggle and wave his ARMS all around, seemingly doing some kind of dance.

A random staff member, clad in a lab coat, approached Spring Man's throne, holding a large serving plate covered by a cloche. Silently, he held the plate out to him, lifting the cloche to reveal a single slice of pizza.

Sitting upon the throne on the opposite side of the stage was Springtron; the other current Featured Fighter. For obvious reasons, nobody was serving him any pizza. "WOOHOO," he uttered robotically, raising his ARMS in the air, as well.

Dr. Coyle, who was currently invisible, and actually sitting on top of one of the metal supports over the stage, cringed as she watched Helix--her own creation--dance. Even his dancing leaves much to be desired, she thought to herself, judging him, as usual. He's certainly NOT representing ARMS Laboratories well. I ought to get down there, myself, and do a little... damage control.

Spring Man's eyes lit up at the sight of the single slice of pizza. "All right, PIZZA! Thanks, man!!" he cheered, eagerly accepting it as it was offered to him. Then, without hesitation, he took a big, hearty bite out of it, closing his eyes in satisfaction.

Helix continued to wildly dance about, completely unaware that his creator was currently watching--and judging--his every move. "HEEEE!" he cried out with apparent enthusiasm, stretching his body to a great height while still waving his ARMS.

Suddenly, a siren went off, and spotlights shone down on Spring Man and Springtron.

"OHHHHHHH! Looks like it's time for our Featured Fighters to enter the ring for a one-on-one fight!" DJ ATP shouted to the crowd, who, as usual, erupted into cheering.

"YES," Springtron cheered--albeit still as robotically as ever. He jumped out of his throne, landing with a bit of a crashing sound, and marched towards a large teleportation pad. This device had been set up for efficiency, instantly transporting fighters to wherever they needed to go for a given match. It also had the ability to teleport them back once it was over.

Hearing that a fight between Spring Man and Springtron was about to begin brought a wide grin to Dr. Coyle's face, and she couldn't help chuckling with excitement. Ah, yes. If anything ought to erase the image of Helix's ridiculous dancing from their minds, it would be a perfect victory for my perfect fighting machine! Springtron was another one of her creations, and, unlike Helix, she was extremely proud of him. Eager to see him make short work of Spring Man, she floated down from her perch to hover in front of the stage, just above the crowd, remaining invisible the entire time.

After hastily scarfing down the rest of his pizza, Spring Man instantly jumped up from his own throne. "OH YEAH, let's do this!" Cheering, he ran to another teleportation pad next to Springtron, eagerly bouncing around in place as it began to activate.

Helix's attention was instantly brought to the stage when he heard the DJ's announcement. Shrinking back down from his ultra-stretched state, he frantically scurried away from the dance floor, his gaze now locking onto the large video screen above.

"Let's see where our fighters are going this time!" DJ ATP slapped an oversized novelty button, causing all of the possible destinations to begin rapidly scrolling by on the giant screen like a slot machine reel. After a moment, the scrolling abruptly stopped, and the location of the fight was revealed: the Scrapyard.
"Looks like we're in for a SCRAPYARD SMACKDOOOOOWN!" DJ ATP shouted, trying to get the crowd hyped. Then, the screen displayed a live view of the location. "Springtron had better watch out!" the DJ joked, then laughed. "I'm kidding, everybody. If anything, the good folks there'll probably be more than happy to fix him up after the fight if he needs it!"

Picturing the Scrapyard workers tinkering with her prized Springtron brought a scowl to Dr. Coyle's face. Briefly, she made herself visible, just so the worker whom she had assigned the job of "party DJ" to could see that she was glaring at him.

DJ ATP froze when he saw Dr. Coyle, his face turning a little pale. "U-uh, I-I mean, um... uh... W-we'll see that any necessary repairs to Springtron are carried out only by ARMS Laboratories," he stammered.

Dr. Coyle smirked and chuckled in her throat, looking perfectly self-satisfied. Then, she returned to being invisible, floating a little higher to get an even better view of the screen.

Several gasps could be heard coming from the audience when Dr. Coyle briefly became visible, followed by the sound of surprised murmuring. However, attention soon went back to the large video screen as the fight drew nearer and nearer.

After a short while of preparation, Spring Man came into view on-screen--his right ARM equipped with a Toaster, and a Boomerang on his left--and headed to one side of the battlefield. Once he had gotten into position, he once again started hopping in place, appearing extremely eager for his coming battle with Springtron to begin. In his excitement, he just had to let out a spirited cheer, pumping a fist upwards.

Springtron, who had appeared at the Scrapyard at the same time as Spring Man, blankly moved to his starting position at the opposite side of he field. He, too, had a Toaster equipped on his right ARM, but instead of a Boomerang on his left, he wielded a Tribolt. Once he was in position, instead of jumping for joy like his counterpart, he merely raised an ARM in the air, uttering a single, robotic "WOO".

Back at the plaza, Ribbon Girl--who had managed to get a very good spot in the audience, close to the stage--was eagerly awaiting the beginning of the match as she stared up at the screen. "Goooooo Spring Man!" she cheered enthusiastically, throwing her arms in the air. "We be-LIIIIEVE in you!" she continued in song.

Somewhat farther back from the stage, Mechanica stared ahead at the video screen with a twinkle of excitement in her eyes, having climbed into the high-up seat of her mech suit in order to have a better view. She had even brought along a snack to eat while watching the event, carrying a corn dog in one hand.

Helix practically began to quiver with anticipation, knowing that the fight was now very close to beginning. "Heeeeehee!" he squeaked, stretching his body up until the large screen was roughly around eye-level.

Min Min, who had been away until now, came to watch the fight, balancing a tray with a bowl of fresh ramen upon it on one hand, and holding a pair of disposable chopsticks in the other. As it turned out, the Mintendo Noodle House had been invited to serve their legendary ramen at the event alongside the other food vendors. Amazingly, they actually agreed to come. Of course, as the restaurant was run by Min Min's family, she was welcome to have as much as she wanted for free. Consequently, she was spending just as much time there as she was watching--and participating in--the action.
As Min Min hadn't been present when the fight was announced, she wasn't entirely sure about the details. Spotting Mechanica, perched high in her mech, she decided to go and ask her about it, having a feeling she'd be able to fill her in. "Hello," she greeted as she approached, pausing to slurp a mouthful of noodles and flavorful broth. "Mmh... So, what did I miss? What's going on now?" she questioned, looking up at the screen.

Excitedly, Lola Pop somersaulted over to watch the fight beside Helix, laughing all the way. "Hiya, Stretch!" she greeted with a giggle, looking up and waving at him, then turned her attention towards the screen. "You rooting for your brother?" she asked him, referring to Springtron.

Mechanica quickly glanced down when she heard Min Min approaching. "Oh, hey...!" she greeted in return, waving her free hand. "You got here just in time, actually! Spring Man and Springtron just warped on over to the Scrapyard..." she began to explain, briefly checking up on the screen above to see what exactly was going on at that moment. "And it looks like the fight's gonna start any minute, now!" As she finished explaining, she took an enthusiastic bite out of her corn dog.

Helix made a bit of a startled squealing sound when Lola Pop greeted him, then suddenly bent his head down and backwards to look at her as apposed to simply returning to his usual height. "Mmm...!" he seemed to respond affirmatively with a soft squeak.

"I see...!" At this moment, Min Min saw the two fighters on-screen. "Mm... Their styles are pretty similar, so this should be interesting," she commented thoughtfully, then slurped another mouthful of ramen, not taking her eyes off of the screen.

"Awwww, that's sweet as pie!" Lola Pop remarked, twirling around once. "Heehee! I was gonna root for Spring Man, but now I'm thinking about joining you, just 'cause! Is that okey-dokey with you?"

Knowing that the beginning of the match was getting closer and closer, Ribbon Girl was getting even more excited. Suddenly, she turned backwards to face more of the crowd. "Hey, how many of you guys are rooting for SPRING MAN with me~?" she called out to them, leaping into the air.

"Really interesting!" Mechanica agreed with Min Min's comment, her eyes drifting back to the screen, as well. "I bet it'll be a close fight... I wonder who's gonna outwit who??" she mused, taking another bite of her corn dog.

Helix bobbled his head--which was still stretched backwards to look at Lola Pop--up and down in an apparent nod. "Yuuuh," he replied, once again seemingly in agreement.

All of a sudden, Mechanica saw Ribbon Girl jumping up to address the rest of the crowd, causing her to gasp loudly. "A-AH!" Instantly getting a starstruck feeling at the sight of her hero, she simply froze for a moment. "U-uhm...!" she stammered awkwardly as she attempted to gather her thoughts. "I-I am...! GOOO, SPRING MAN!" she cheered, throwing her hands skyward (in half-hope that she might be noticed by Ribbon Girl).

Lola Pop gave a single nod in acknowledgement. "Alrighty then, Team Springtron it is!" To celebrate her transfer from one "team" to the other, she started dancing like a robot. "BEEP-bop WHRRRRRRR!"

When Ribbon Girl called to them, the crowd responded by cheering loudly. Many of them waved light blue glowsticks in the air, as well.

Mechanica's awkwardly enthusiastic reaction to spotting Ribbon Girl made Min Min giggle. "Hehe! Me, too!" she chimed in, briefly resting her chopsticks on her tray, then stretching her free ARM up and giving a brief wave.

When Ribbon Girl spotted Mechanica, towering over everyone nearby in her lofty seat, she chuckled. "Now that's a seat!" she remarked to her, giving a thumbs-up. "Great idea as usual, Mechanica!"

Straightening his stretched-out body so that he could once again look at the screen, Helix began swaying back, doing a sort of dance of his own. "Bop bop bop!" he repeated.

Mechanica gasped in a squeaky, squeal-like fashion, her heart practically skipping a beat in surprise upon being suddenly, personally addressed by Ribbon Girl; in a crowd with so many other people, it felt like an especially unlikely scenario, after all. "H-hah...!!" Once again at a loss for words, all she could do briefly was stare ahead, an ear-to-ear grin instantly spreading across her face. All of a sudden, she began to giggle giddily, finding it increasingly difficult to contain her sheer excitement. "Th-thanks, Ribbon Girl...!! Heehee...!"

Ribbon Girl just had to laugh when she saw Mechanica's reaction to being addressed. "Haha, you're totally welcome!" she responded perkily, looking perfectly amused.

The more excited Mechanica got over the situation, the more Min Min's giggling intensified, as well. "Ahaha! Good thing we're not standing over there; you'd probably miss the entire fight talking to Ribbon Girl!" she remarked to Mechanica, lowering her ARM and taking her chopsticks again.

"READY?"
Just then, an announcer spoke up, signalling that the fight was only a moment away from beginning.

Hearing the announcer, Springtron could be seen preparing to move as quickly as possible when the time came.

"Oh!" Looking slightly surprised, Min Min quickly turned her attention to the screen. Eagerly awaiting the moment the fight began, she--of course--slurped some ramen in suspense.

"OHP!!" Almost falling over, Lola Pop stopped dancing and stared directly at the screen. "Here it coooomes!"

Spring Man hopped up into a straight, battle-ready position when he heard the announcer, the corners of his mouth going up in an eager, determined grin.

"Eheh, yeah... I definitely would...!" Mechanica responded to Min Min with another, slightly awkward little giggle, an air of delight still clearly showing through in her tone.
A moment later, she suddenly looked up in surprise upon hearing the announcer. "Ah! It's starting...!"

Helix froze when the announcer spoke up, then stretched up even more with excitement. "Wooh!!" he cried.

On-screen, Springtron could be seen staring his opponent down, waiting to pounce as soon as they were given the go-ahead.

Just a moment later...
"ARMS!!"
... The go-ahead was given.

The moment the fight officially began, Springtron rushed forward, swerving around one of the metal pillars in the center of the arena's lower section.

As soon as the announcer spoke up, signaling the beginning of the fight, Spring Man could be seen leaping into action. First making his way towards the other metal pillar, he briefly attempted to hide behind it in order to observe Springtron's first move.

As soon as he was in the right position to land a punch, Springtron launched a Tribolt towards Spring Man, aiming to stun him and set up for a subsequent hit from his Toaster.

Dr. Coyle spectated the fight with an enormous grin on her face--not that anyone could see her right now. She was so excited to see Springtron crush his opponent, she couldn't help giggling a little, as well.

"Yeaaaaah!!" Ribbon Girl cheered enthusiastically when the fight began, jumping for joy with her arms in the air. "Go get 'im, Spring Man~!"

Spotting Springtron at the corner of his gaze, Spring Man swiftly whirled around to face his opponent, but he was instantly met with the sight of a Tribolt's three shots flying towards him. "Oh snap-...!" he barely had time to utter before it collided with him, rendering him momentarily stunned.

Helix stretched up with a jolt when Springtron managed to land the first hit. Then, he erupted into squeaky cheering, waving his colorful ARMS around. "Aaaaahh!"

Mechanica kept her gaze focused on the screen while she nibbled on her corn dog, intently watching the action as it began to unfold. Upon seeing Spring Man take a hit almost instantly, her eyes grew somewhat wide. "Urk...!" she gasped, leaning forward in suspense as she braced herself for Springtron's likely follow-up attack.
