"Wait," Sam mewed. "How do you know that?"
"Why does it even matter? We're gonna DIE!!!!" Gatorpaw shouted. And not the way I wanted you to, either! And Rainpaw too! Why do you idiots cause me so much pain?

"WHAT?! Poisonous? We're not really gonna die are we?" Rainpaw asked, terrified. She pressed her face into Gatorpaw's fur.

Gatorpaw yowled in fear. Holy StarClan, this is so embarassing! he thought as he squeezed his eyes shut to prevent tears from becoming visible.

"What!?" Gatorpaw pounced on top of Sam in rage. "This is all your fault!" he growled. "If you hadn't came here with your stupid kittypet food...!" He looked like he was going to scratch Sam's ear off right then.
Sam squealed in fear.

"Stop it! He didn't know, Gatorpaw! Please don't hurt him." Rainpaw shrieked. She got between them and tried to remove Gatorpaw from Sam, accidentally getting scratched in the process. Rainpaw jumped back, and tried to hide her small cry of pain. "Please..." she whined.

"Rainpaw!" Gatorpaw gasped out. He lept off of Sam. "You win this time, kittypet." he grumbled to Sam. Then he ran toward Rainpaw. "Rainpaw," he managed to say. "I'm so sorry!" He suddenly burst out in tears.

Rainpaw was shocked to see this much emotion coming from him. She tried her best to calm down before speaking. "Oh Gatorpaw, I'm okay. See?" She briefly licked her scratch to show it wasn't deep. "I know it was an accident." She quickly nuzzled his shoulder. "Just please don't blame Sam, he's our friend and wouldn't hurt us." Not intentially at least, Rainpaw thought. "But what do we do now?!" The panic in her eyes intensified.
