The Training RP!

Willowpaw met her mentor's eyes and nodded. She got into a crouch, thinking hard about how she was going to strike.
After a few moments of thought, she was ready. The apprentice leaped at Roseblossom with her paws out. (Sheathed of course) Landing on top of her, she immediately attempted to pin her down. She's so much stronger than me. I'll be lucky if this works. Willowpaw thought doubtfully.

Upon feeling the apprentice's weight on her back, Roseblossom immediately dropped in an attempt to roll over.
((long post amirite. but ah well, im tired :P)

Willowpaw felt her mentor drop and got rolled over. Her back was now on the ground. Don't give up yet! This moment will be your only chance! she thought to herself.
Before Roseblossom could completely pin her, she put her paws to the ground and began to to struggle with all her might, hoping to shake her off.

Roseblossom remained in place for a second, thinking the situation over. Willowpaw would be unable to escape from her weight, discouraging her. But it wouldn't be better to 'give up', would it? She eventually decided to let go of the apprentice. "You did pretty good," she purred. "So now you'd probably want to know a way to keep from being pinned down like that in actual fights."

Tornadostorm's ears perked. Roseblossom had made a smart move against her apprentice! But was it too much for the young she-cat, small even for an apprentice for she was more a kit at this point then a warrior. Tornadostorm said nothing, curious to see how the pair would handle this. Her ears twitched, and perked forward. She was sitting fully erect now, taking on an unintentionally regal pose.

When Roseblossom got off Willowpaw, Tornadostorm relaxed, and chuckled. This would be a useful lesson

"Yeah, it would probably be best to know that in the future," Willowpaw said disappointed. She was really sure that she was strong enough to win against her mentor. What if I never grow strong enough to overtake future opponents? she began to think worryingly. Willowpaw gave a discouraged look, but tried not to let is show.

"Okay so, here's one thing you can do if a cat's trying to pin you." Roseblossom rolled onto her back. "You gotta do this quick tho-- You roll onto your back and scratch at their belly as hard as you can! That should be easy for you because of your size. Though be careful because they might try the same." She stood back up. "Another thing you can do is try to bite their paw. Depending on who you're fighting, that might not be effective though." She mentally sighed, hoping she didn't sound too stupid.

Tornadostorm took her opportunity, and stepped forward "Hey, Willowpaw, would you like it if Roseblossom and I demonstrated for you?" She smiled gently at the apprentice. She figured if she was here, she might as well do something.

"That would be great!" the apprentice purred softly. "I am having some trouble understanding how to perform moves." Hopefully I'll get the hang of it.

Roseblossom purred. "Yeah, that's a great idea, Tornado! You're more experienced than me so you'll be able to show off the moves better, so I'll be the one trying to pin you down."

Tornadostorm nodded "Okay, Roseblossom. When you're ready." She got into the same stance Roseblossom had shown Willowpaw earlier. She was careful to show her posture, tone, and other body language that she was not tense, or scared at all. And it wasn't difficult, the young deputy wasn't unsettled at all. She walked, maintaining her head's position, not letting it move an inch, her gaze locked on Roseblossom, and her shoulders moving, and muscles rippling under her pelt as she adjusted her position so Willowpaw could see both her, and Roseblossom.

Tornadopaw bounded ahead of her mentor, breaking into the clearing "Whaddare we gonna learn today?! Man this should be awesome! It's been FOREVER sense we've been battle training!" the apprentice barely stopped herself from bounding from paw to paw, looking at her mentor with excitement.

"Okay, let's go." Roseblossom sprung from her position and sprinted to Tornadostorm. She brought her paws down on the deputy's shoulders to try and force her to the ground.

Tornadostorm forced herself not to rear up, shoving Roseblossom off balance, then swat at her with her front paws. Willowpaw wasn't big or strong enough for that yet. So instead, she let Roseblossom shove her to the ground Tornadostorm fell faster then she expected, caught off guard by Roseblossom's power, but JUST managed to twist so she fell onto her back, not onto her side, and she kicked at Rosebossom's stomach furiously with sheathed claws. Her shoulders were pinned, or she would have included her forepaws as well.

Roseblossom looked at her apprentice, sitting nearby and taking in everything. "Could you see that well?" she mewed.

Moonflame watched as the young apprentice ahead, itching to get started with training. The she-cat was bounding with excitedment. On the other hand, the fresh warrior bumbled along. Moonflame wasn't the fondest of battle training, as for the warrior was bad at explaining things. Half the time in hunting practice she'd just say "You uh, ya know, just uh, catch it." She was better at giving visuals then using her words, let's see how this would play out

Tornadopaw trotted up to Moonflame, tail straight in the air "So, whaddo you wanna teach me?" She asked, eye alight "Is it something to cover my blind spot?? I know that's what we worked on last time." She flexed her claws impatiently

Moonflame stared down at the cat, analzying her smallish frame. Moonflame thought back to previous fights she partook in, thinking of techniques that would work to Tornadopaw's advantage. "Have you ever tried the leap-and-hold?" she pondered

Tornadopaw tilted her head "I don't know that one. What is it?" her whiskers twitched eagerly, tail swishing gently

"Alright, as always, seathed paws." she reminded the apprentice. "First of all, this move is ideal for when you're facing a larger cat in battle."
"You'll want to really focus all your power into your back haunches, as this moves requires a lot of power," she explains, showing the visual. "Then you'll want to" she began to say as she bounded high above the air "spring."
She landed on her paws, stabilizing herself. "Give it a go!"

Tornadopaw watched thoughtfully, a hint of confusion in her gaze, she then poured strength into her hind legs, crouching in an ideal position to pounce, but took off to early, before she was ready, and ended up flopping onto her face. "OOOWWW" She cried out exaggeratedly. Pulling herself to her feet after a moment and fighting tears.

Her eyes watched thoughtfully as the cat pounced high. Moonflame rushed over to the she-cat as she gave a cry. She licked the cat over the ears a few times. "Are you alright ? do you need to take a break? It's okay if you don't, we can head back to camp if you're too hurt."

"Yes, I saw everything. Very good demonstration!" Willowpaw said happily, thankful to have very skilled clanmates to learn from. With the help of her dear friends, perhaps she would be able to learn in no time. She forgot about her doubts and thought more of her determination to become a proud warrior of Cloudclan.

"oooowww my nose..." She whined. Rubbing her nose with a paw, she took a deep breath to try and calm herself down enough to continue, and licked her greyish chest fur awkwardly. "I-I think I'm ok." she flexed her claws again. "Wha-what did I do wrong?"

Tornadostorm then took a few steps back, allowing Roseblossom to continue. "Ok, so if you need another demonstration, just ask." She sat down near the water this time, and started licking the dirt out of her fur from when she had been pinned.

Moonflame thought back to the attempt. "You need to relax more, really sit back into your haunches." She explained, demonstrating. "Have patient, you don't need to rush things, prepare and only launch when you feel ready and have confidence in yourself."
