Superyacht - THE RP

Pearl mildly froze when she heard Marina's somewhat surly tone of voice. Finally, it dawned on her that her friend was actually feeling quite hungry at the moment. "Whoa, alright, we'll head back there, then; take it easy!" Pearl told her, taking a small step back and sounding slightly shocked. When she heard Mechanica speak up, sounding a little nervous, she turned her head to look at her. "It's alright; we're all just gonna head over to the snack table thing for a sec. Marina's gettin' hangry," she explained with an awkward laugh, glancing in Marina's direction upon mentioning her name.

"Oh..." Mechanica gave an awkward chuckle of her own, glancing towards Marina with a slightly nervous little smile. "Ahah, that's fine... I wouldn't mind a li'l snack right now, anyway."

"Urgh... Thank you," Marina responded to Pearl with a small sigh, her shoulders slumping a bit.

"Welp! You two should probably get a head start, then," Mechanica suggested, stepping back in the direction of her mechanical suit with a still-awkward smile. "I'm just gonna park this guy somewhere safer before I join you," she told them, motioning to it with her head.

"Right, see ya there!" Pearl gave Mechanica a single friendly wave, then turned around and started heading back in the direction of the snack table. She made an effort to walk as quickly as she could manage without actually appearing to be in a hurry.

Marina nodded in acknowledgement, giving Mechanica a small wave as well, then turned to quickly go with Pearl in the direction of the snack table. Eventually breaking into a run, it didn't take her very long to reach her destination.

Mechanica, meanwhile, climbed up into her towering suit and turned in the opposite direction, bringing it back to where it had been resting before she took it out to show Off the Hook.

As soon as Marina was at the table, she reached with haste towards the first appetizing-looking snack she laid eyes upon, which happened to be a tiny sandwich. After bumping several other dishes with her arm on the way back, she eagerly popped the entire thing into her mouth.

Pearl was surprised when she saw Marina go zooming past her, instantly quickening her pace in an attempt to keep up. However, as her legs were much shorter than those of her much taller friend, she was having great difficulty. "Hey, slow down!" she called after her, laughing.
Once they were at their destination, Pearl slid to a halt, stopping just before she could collide with the table. "Alright, guess I'll try some more of this grub while we're he--..." When she saw Marina shove an entire miniature sandwich into her mouth at once, she abruptly cut off mid-sentence. "Geez, Marina! You gonna swallow that thing whole or what?!" she commented with wide eyes, though she was clearly rather amused.

As an entire miniature sandwich was currently stuffed into her mouth, Marina couldn't give Pearl much of a response at the moment, simply glancing over at her friend when she heard her speak. After giving the sandwich a quick chew for a short while, she gulped it down and instantly began searching for her next snack, her eyes rapidly scanning the table.

Spotting a plate of tasty-looking baguette slices, topped with elegant slices of meat and cheese, Pearl strolled over to take one. She then strolled back to Marina's side, taking a bite of the snack on the way. "If you're that crazy hungry, why didn'tcha just tell me earlier?" she asked after swallowing.

Marina once again turned to Pearl after grabbing two crackers--one in each hand--topped with thin slices of meat. "After the whole thing with your eye, I just didn't really wanna keep us there... You seemed pretty upset at the time," she told her, pausing for several moments to scarf down the two crackers. "And I guess I wasn't QUITE as hungry then, so I tried to ignore it for a while. That... apparently wasn't such a good idea..."

"Hey, don't worry about it. At least it didn't end up getting TOO ugly," Pearl reassured Marina, pausing to take another bite of her fancy toast. "Anyway, next time I go and throw food into my eye, don't let it keep you from snacking if you have to. I don't wanna see you end up getting all hangry!" she told her, laughing with a vaguely nervous grin. She didn't want to admit it, but she found Marina almost a little frightening when the latter's mood was being negatively affected by great hunger.

"Ahaah... OK..." Marina responded in a vaguely sheepish tone, once again pausing as she grabbed another two crackers from the table. "... You should prooobably try to avoid doing that again, though," she added with a bit of an awkward laugh before she proceeded to resume snacking.

"Don't worry; it's not gonna happen again," Pearl assured Marina with a snicker, gaining a bit of a competitive sparkle in her eye.

Marina giggled, the corners of her mouth raising up slightly with an amused grin at Pearl's expression. "Ohhh, next time's gonna be good..." she remarked between bites.

At this moment, Mechanica came scampering over to rejoin Pearl and Marina. "Heya!" she chirped in greeting, then paused with a quick, subtly nervous glance in Marina's direction. "H-how's it goin' over here?" she asked, attempting to still sound just as perky.

"Ay, Mecha!" Pearl greeted Mechanica in a cheerful, friendly manner. "Don't worry; Marina's fine now. There's a whole world of snackage over here for her to stuff her face with," she snickered.

After Marina had once again turned around to reach for another snack--two pieces of fudge, this time--she looked over at Mechanica with a friendly wave. "Hey...!" she greeted back somewhat softly before popping the entire first piece into her mouth. She swallowed it very soon after, then opened her mouth to say something else... However, she was suddenly interrupted by a rather powerful belch. This left her speechless for several moments, her eyes widening with shock. "... U-uh...! E-... Excuse meee...?"

Mechanica appeared very relieved as Pearl told her about Marina's improved mood, followed by hearing the latter's warm, friendly tone when she greeted her. The slight nervousness in her expression fading, she happily gave a bob of her head in response to the Octoling. Then, when the conversation was abruptly interrupted by Marina's sudden burp, she briefly froze with a similarly surprised look. After this, she couldn't help bursting into squeaky giggling just a moment later, perfectly amused by this interruption.

Pearl, too, briefly froze in surprise before bursting into wild laughter with Mechanica. "NICE ONE, RINA!" she remarked, laughing to the point of almost doubling over. "I bet they heard that one right across the ship!"

Marina shrunk down a little in an embarrassed manner, her mouth slowly spreading into a wide, awkward grin as everyone burst into laughter. "I-it couldn't have been... THAT... noticeable...!!"

For a short while longer, Mechanica couldn't even manage a response through all of her giggling. However, she eventually attempted to pull herself together, giving a long, squeaky sigh. "Haaaaahhh... Hey, don't worry about it! It's no big deal...!" she reassured Marina, still unable to completely suppress her laughter.

Figuring that Marina was embarrassed enough already, Pearl turned her attention back to the selection of snacks on the table, allowing her laughter to fade away. Almost instantly, her gaze settled upon a beautiful sight: a platter of what appeared to be bite-sized squares of fancy cake. The little treats had several layers each, and were filled with plenty of rich whipped cream. Atop each square, resting upon the generous whipped cream topping, sat a small, perfectly ripe strawberry slice.
"Oh snap...! Look at those!" Pearl quickly pointed towards the platter, then zipped over to take one of the squares for herself. Without hesitation, she bit into the fluffy dessert, her expression becoming blissful.

After another moment, Mechanica managed to let her remaining laughter fade, as well, and when she heard Pearl suddenly speak up, she turned to see what the Inkling had found. "Huh?-... OOOH," Her eyes instantly grew wide as they rested upon the fancy little cakes, and she quickly stepped over to take one for herself. Then, clenching her eyes shut, she took a big, eager bite out of the small square. "Ahm!"

Marina's embarrassment slowly began to lessen when she saw the others' attention turning elsewhere, and with a curious look, she turned to see what was making them both so excited. Upon seeing the plate of fluffy desserts for herself, right away she knew that she had to try one, too. Rushing over to join Pearl and Mechanica, she very enthusiastically grabbed one of the squares for herself, then popped it right into her mouth. "MMMmmmm...!!" she mumbled blissfully.

"Look at all the cream in this thing!" Pearl exclaimed, holding up the cake she had bitten into to show off its incredibly fluffy filling. "I bet the snooty people here don't even really appreciate this stuff. It feels like such a waste!" she remarked. "Know what I mean?"

"Mmmh... Mhm...!" Mechanica attempted to respond despite her mouth being filled with cake, quickly nodding her head. "It's so nice and fluffy... It's practically just begging you to take a huge bite out of it!" she spoke clearly upon swallowing, looking very contented. "And the way it goes 'squoosh!' in your mouth feels so cool!" she continued, staring at the creamy filling of the small treat in her hand.

Marina would have contributed to the conversation, herself, but she was already too busy beginning to eat a second cake. She did, however, nod in agreement with what Pearl and Mechanica were saying.

"EXACTLY!" Pearl agreed with Mechanica energetically. "How's it s'posed to do the 'squoosh' if you're a snob who just takes little nibbles like THIS?" She proceeded to hold the cake up to her mouth between her index finger and thumb, then take exaggeratedly tiny bites out of it with only her frontmost teeth.

Mechanica couldn't help snickering in amusement at the sight of Pearl taking such tiny bites with her pointed front teeth. "It just-... It doesn't work!" she responded with a shake of her head. "You've gotta just enjoy it! Like... pop a whole bunch of it into your mouth at once all like: 'NOM'!" As she spoke the last word of this sentence, she quickly proceeded to do just that, finishing off her cake.

Marina giggled as she continued to watch Pearl and Mechanica, her mouth once again too full to chime in, herself.

"WORD!" Right after Mechanica finished off the rest of her cake in a big bite, Pearl enthusiastically did exactly the same. "I hope some snobby peeps saw that," she remarked with a mischievous smile after gulping down the mouthful of cake. "'Cuz that's how it's DOOONE!"
Suddenly, Pearl turned around, setting her sights on the nearest fancy-looking human that she could find. "YO, DIDJA GET ALL THAT?!" she called very loudly to the random human. "TELL YOUR FANCY FRIENDS!!"

The human looked perfectly unamused.

When Pearl suddenly and loudly called to a nearby human--who didn't seem at all amused by the small Inkling--Marina turned to look in the stranger's direction, herself. Seeing this human's quite apparent unamused look made her wince very subtly, and she quickly stifled her remaining giggles as an apologetic expression crept its way onto her face. "It's all cool, though; whatever floats your boat...!" she chimed in, closing her eyes and grinning in a rather cartoonishly awkward way.

Another lighthearted laugh escaped Mechanica's throat as she prepared to briefly turn around in search of another snack, but she paused when she heard Pearl, followed by Marina, suddenly seeming speaking to some other individual. Glancing around for a moment, she soon spotted the random, silent, and visibly unamused human, which caused her to stay paused a bit longer.

Pearl didn't even seem to care about the human's reaction; she simply returned her attention to the table as if nothing even happened. "Blah... I think I've had my fill of snackage for now," she commented, staring boredly at the assortment of foods. "You just about done there, Marina?" she questioned, swinging her head to the side as she looked in Marina's direction.
