*~ShiningClan and GlowClan: The Iridescent Forest~*

Tigerpaw grinned determinedly and charged at Dewpaw.

Dewpaw watched him, her eyes wide and focused. Tigerpaw soon was close and his paw nearly skimmed her, but she managed to turn on her side quick enough and slip under him, attack his belly, and turn again back out from under him, getting back on her feet. Dewpaw stood, catching her breath. "Wow, you almost had me!"

"Nice save!" Tigerpaw said. "I think we've pretty much mastered the move now."

"Thanks!" Dewpaw smiled.
"Well done, you two," meowed Flameclaw, looking proud of them. "Yes, and I think this has been enough practice for now; we should probably be getting back to camp. Again, good job today." He got up and headed in the direction of the camp, signaling for them to follow with a flick of his tail.

Tigerpaw followed them to camp.

Anyway, first time actually RPing here, whoo~]

Riverwing was sitting peacefully in the center of camp, licking her fur, and completely oblivious to the fact that a rogue had recently been seen nearby.

Darkflower walked over to Riverwing, Tigerpaw, Dewpaw, and Flameclaw. "I've talked to the leader, and we've decided to assign an extra border patrol to look for the rogue. If you four have time, I want you to go."

Riverwing suddenly stopped grooming her pelt and quickly sat upright. "Wait, a rogue? What rogue?" She stared at Darkflower. "I didn't hear about a rogue. What are the details?" she inquired. "I mean, I'll certainly go, but… I'd just prefer to know what I'm doing first, if that makes any sense to you."

"A rogue was reported in our territory earlier today," Darkflower explained. "We don't know much about him, or her, but you'll be able to track the scent."

"Right, we should further investigate the area and hopefully find them. Tigerpaw and I are fine to go," said Flameclaw. "Oh and Riverwing," he added, turning to her, "I took Dewpaw for a bit of battle training just earlier; she did well."

"Ah, that's great!" Riverwing purred with enjoyment. She loved to hear that her apprentice was doing well at battle training. Dewpaw would certainly become a fine warrior at this rate. Riverwing nodded and glanced at Dewpaw. "We'll come along as well."

Dewpaw smiled at Riverwing, pleased to be making her mentor proud. Getting to go on the patrol excited her too. "Yay! Are we leaving right now?" she asked.

Riverwing nudged Dewpaw affectionately on the shoulder with her muzzle. "I don't know," she replied, looking back at Darkflower. "That'd be up to Darkflower to determine."

"Yes, go ahead," Darkflower nodded.

Riverwing dipped her head. "All right, then, we can go!" She flicked her tail and began to walk forward.

Dewpaw padded after Riverwing eagerly, and Flameclaw followed as well. "I found the rogue scent not far from the stream; I can take you to the spot," said Flameclaw.

"Okay," Tigerpaw nodded.

Flameclaw took the lead. As the patrol continued on, the sun was just starting to set, and Dewpaw noticed the faint lights that began to emanate from her and her clanmates' pelts, gradually becoming more visible as the sky grew darker. "Hey Tigerpaw, our glows are on again!" Dewpaw pointed out, smiling at her friend, who was now outlined in yellow.

"Huh?" Tigerpaw looked at his pelt. It was true. Every single hair on his pelt was illuminated in a yellow glow. "Cool!"

Dewpaw giggled. "I love it when this happens!" She stood closer to Tigerpaw, blending her pelt's pink glow with his yellow one, resulting in a peach colored light. "Look," she mewed, smiling again.
Flameclaw stopped for a moment and turned to the apprentices. "Hey, I understand that our glowing can be neat-looking and fun, but it also means that we have to be more careful now. Anyone can see where we are, and it's especially dangerous when we know there are rogues about, so just stay alert, okay?"

"Oh, sorry," Tigerpaw said. He scanned the area, looking for claw marks or pawprints or even fur, anything that could lead to where the rogue could be.

"Oops," Dewpaw whispered.
Flameclaw nodded at them understandingly. "We're getting closer to the stream; it's good that you're tracking now, Tigerpaw," he said. He quickly tasted the air for scents, then continued to move onward. Dewpaw still hung in the back of the group, now helping Tigerpaw search.

There was movement in ShiningClan's stream. A dark tom was swimming briskly, heading for the bank. He reached it, shook himself off, and stared off in the distance for a moment. The lights. It was them, he knew they would come. He hurried off to find the perfect place to wait.

Nightbranch approached. her whole pelt radiating a vibrant purple. Her eyes also shone in the dark. Their purple radiance was almost as stunning as the dark she-cat's pelt. "Hello?" She called, a cold tone on her voice. She could see a faint glow nearby, but she couldn't see enough to be sure if the cat was across the border, or a ways beyond it.

Riverwing sniffed the air. "This rogue's definitely somewhere nearby," she noted, looking around in hopes that they would be somewhere in view, but to no avail.
