Daisyheart sighed, and stumbled out into the forest. She couldn't get any sleep at all...she'd better stop trying, or else she'd end up sitting in her nest all night pointlessly. Why not do something useful with the night? She decided to go for a stroll.

Daisyheart noticed Shadowstar sitting alone by the tree she had climbed earlier, looking angry. What's wrong with him? she thought worriedly, carefully edging closer.

Daisyheart had to get some courage...she couldn't just leave him here...she took a deep breath.
"N-no. I...I'm not leaving..." She took another deep breath. "What's wrong, Shadowstar?"

Daisyheart sighed. It was always something with those two...Daisyheart never took sides, but she knew Breezeflight was almost always right.
She stepped towards him again. "Look, you...you have to ignore that Clan, Shadowstar...forget your painful memories, ignore them...!"

Daisyheart looked up into the starry night sky hopelessly. How did she get into this position? Why was she talking to the Clan leader about love?
She looked back down at Shadowstar. "Only StarClan knows," she whispered.

Daisyheart sighed. "It's the truth...you're a leader, you're supposed to be the strong one, the one to fight through this!" She shook her head exasperatedly. "You don't belong with her." She stood up and walked away, back to the camp.

Daisyheart froze.
Does he mean...THAT kind of like?! Daisyheart gulped. No, no, of course I don't....he's...nice, and all, but I don't feel like THAT! What do I say? It'll kill him if I say no! Um...uh...wait... A plan formed in her mind. What if I become his mate, even if I don't love him? That would make me seem like a true member of OakClan...and that's all I want. She waved her tail from side to side, frantically thinking. He doesn't have to know I don't actually love him....is that wrong? But I'll actually feel like a part of the Clan if I do...maybe I could pull it off... She slowly turned and looked at him. "Of course I do," she whispered, and she raced to camp, using her power as an advantage.
