Haru could hear the original sound of footsteps coming closer -- taking their sweet time in getting there, he might add -- but he could also detect another pair of footsteps, fainter than the original. So there are others here... He thought to himself, unsure whether it gave him hope or frightened him. But... what if it's Makoto? Or Nagisa and Rei? What if it's all three of them? The prospect of seeing his best friends again gave him another spark of hope in his chest, and he rolled back over on his side, being the most comfortable.
"... P-Please..." Haru coughed out to whomever could hear him. "... Help me..." More water presented itself onto the ground beside him, making Haru shiver and turn his face away from it. It was the first time that water had ever forcefully entered his lungs, and also the first time he had ever had a negative reaction to facing water.
Perhaps it was because he was delirious and had just coughed it up, but Haru wasn't sure, nor really thinking straight. He was just so tired...

Toad was about to greet Geno when he noticed Haku walking toward something. Where is she going…? he wondered. All of a sudden, he saw a body lying on the ground and his tiny eyes shot wide immediately. What—who is that?

Eventually, after lazily walking for a little while, Haku spotted what appeared to be a person lying on the ground. "... Wuh..." Cautiously, she inched closer and closer to the stranger, until she was standing by his side. She loomed over him, staring down with a curious and concerned, but somewhat-frightened expression. Although wanting to help if there was something wrong, she looked as if she were ready to jump at the slightest perceived sign of danger.

After she had walked a little ways, Nagisa spotted a person in the distance who appeared to have washed up on shore and gasped quietly in surprise. The person wasn't especially visible from where she was standing, however, and the only detail she could almost fully pick out was the dark blueish color of his hair. ... Is that... Tomoya? she wondered, desperately hoping to see the familiar faces of those she knew back in her home world, worried about what had happened to them during the ordeal. Completely forgetting to take a closer look at this person, she ran in his direction, honestly believing that he was the person she was thinking of. "Tomoya...!" She called out as she sprinted forward, feeling tears begin to well up in her eyes.

Team Rocket were so caught up attending to newcomers and trying to question them, that when they saw Haru washed up on the shore, they all started running in circles and collided with one another. While James and Jessie were still recovering, Meowth got up and ran on his hind legs to see the half-drowned man.

By this point, they had begun to wish for something familiar from their own world to join them--one of their Pokemon, ANY Pokemon--even a twerp!

When Meowth saw the black, spiky hair, a weird part of him hoped it might be Ash Ketchum. He was somewhat angry, but also curious, when he saw that it was not.

"Huhh? Who aww YOU supposed tuh be!?"

Toad suddenly noticed Meowth's voice. He walked up to Meowth and Haku to see who they were standing around. "What on earth…?" he gasped when he saw someone lying there. He was still alive, but he appeared to be wet, and he definitely was not in the best condition. Toad didn't expect him to get up anytime soon. I shouldn't say anything. I should just wait for him to get up.

Haru's eyes had closed long before the first set of footsteps had reached him, and he'd been about to roll over to face whoever had stumbled upon him when he heard the second set come as well -- much faster. He managed to let his eyelids flutter open, his beautiful blue eyes blinking slowly once or twice to take in the bright sunlight. Once the harsh glare had faded, he realized he was looking up into the red eyes of a white haired girl, and he squinted a little bit to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. Haru laid on his back, still staring at her wordlessly, his confusion evident on his face.
He was about to say something to her, until the second person had arrived, a brunette in a school uniform who was calling him by some other name. He simply stared at her too, unsure how to react to being mistaken for someone else -- someone that, judging by the tears in her eyes, probably meant very much to her. Much like Makoto, Nagisa, and Rei did to him. At the memory of his friends, the painful realization that the footsteps he heard hadn't belonged to his friends after all became very evident in his blue eyes. They aren't here... yet these girls are... maybe they have yet to arrive...? Haru wondered, becoming more and more worried.
An oddly accented voice caught his attention once more, and he looked over to see a periwinkle haired man, a fuchsia haired woman, and a cat-like... thing... that was on it's hind legs. If Haru had heard correctly, the voice sounded like it was coming from the cat being. In addition, there was a mushroom-like creature with them, and by now, everybody that had gathered seemed to be staring directly at Haru, and he felt himself blush at being the center of attention. After he got over his shyness, he attempted to clear his throat, only to go into a coughing fit. No water came up, but he could feel that it would need to eventually.
"... Haru..." He muttered softly between coughs. "Haru... Nanase..." He gave his name in a somewhat reluctant tone, but perhaps they knew where his friends were, or even how to help get the water out of his lungs in a more efficient and less painful way than coughing it up.

When the unfamiliar young man made and held eye contact with her, Haku shrunk back timidly. Looking around nervously, she jumped a little when she spotted yet another unfamiliar character right next to her; a brown-haired young woman. In her anxiety, she barely managed to squeak out her greeting to both of the newcomers. "H-hull-hullo..."
Taking a quiet, deep breath to calm herself, Haku turned her attention back to the young man. "... Y-you hurt...?" she asked very softly, forcing herself to kneel down beside him despite her overwhelming anxiety, which was made apparent by her slight shuddering.

As the realization that this man was in fact not who she had thought him to be set in, Nagisa's cheeks turned a bright, rosy color in embarrassment as she wiped away the remaining tears in her eyes with the edge of her sleeve. "O-oh... I'm very s-sorry..." she managed to squeak out through her shyness, briefly glancing to her side whenever she noticed another unfamiliar person standing there. "H-hello..." she greeted quietly to those around her, and then quickly knelt down next to the seemingly exhausted man as well, looking quite concerned.

Haru Nanase? That must be his name. Sounds kind of like the names people like Haku, Meiko, and Kaito would have, Toad figured. But who is that other girl…? There are so many people here; it's so confusing to try to keep up with all of them!

As everybody started speaking, Haru found that all he could manage to do was just sit up and stare wide-eyed at everybody. Usually he wasn't one to speak very much, and people had a hard time reading and understanding him. But that was Makoto's specialty, only his best friend was able to know exactly what Haru was thinking with just a single glance, and he'd respond for Haru. That always saved him the trouble of speaking... except now, Makoto wasn't here. After the girl who'd just mistaken him for someone else introduced herself, Haru's deep blue eyes widened further, even if only slightly. This girl... she has the same name as the Nagisa that I know... A pang of sadness pierced his heart. He knew deep inside that the Nagisa that he knew would have been ecstatic about meeting this girl, since his friend was always excited to meet new people and wondered when he'd meet someone with the same name as him. Haru could tell he was gazing sadly into this girl's eyes right now, so he finally tore his glance away as to not upset her further, with her embarrassment already in place and all.
Once all the others had settled down from talking seemingly all at once, Haru took a deep breath and exhaled, realizing that it no longer hurt to breath. Thank goodness. Perhaps that meant the water in his lungs was almost eradicated?
Upon hearing the two girls express concern for him, Haru glanced back at them with some reluctance. He was seriously uncomfortable without the presence of his friends, though he knew that in order to get help, he'd have to, metaphorically, at least peek over the wall he'd built around his heart to keep himself and his emotions safe. After breaking into another albeit less violent coughing fit, Haru cleared his throat. "Water... in my lungs..." Haru gestured to his back, coughing twice more. "Give... Give me a strong pat on my back..." He ordered to anybody in the group, coughing again. If he got some extra force in it, maybe he'd finally expel the rest of the water and breathe more easily.

When Haru began to cough again and spoke of water in his lungs, Haku gasped softly. "O-ouch," she murmured. "... Here..." After carefully moving behind him, she pushed aside her shyness, then delivered a few strong pats to his back. Despite feeling quite nervous around this stranger, she honestly wanted to help him if he was suffering.

Surprised when she noticed that Haru seemed to be gazing right at her with a look of sadness, all Nagisa could do was return a shy but sympathetic glance back to him. Silently, she watched as Haku began to firmly pat him on the back, hoping that it would work, and the man's lungs would be emptied of any remaining, unwanted water.

"Oh, fah cryin'..." Meowth lost patience and shoved everyone aside. "Meowth, wait! What are you doing?" James squealed.

Meowth pushed Haku away and grunted to the man, "Hold still....'dis might hoit. HEEE-YAAAAOOWW!"

The cat leaped into the air, and careened back down with incredible force, using his long legs to practically flatten the stranger, forcing most (if not all) of the water out of his mouth in one painful blow. Not the most practical or humane method, but mostly effective.

"Now ya bettah not have any broken ribs! I was vearry cahful, so hopefully people don't hafta fuss ovah you anymore." Meowth crossed his arms and looked indignant.

(I don't know; I guess that's alright.)

When she was pushed aside, Haku huffed a little. "I kinda had things covered there," she grumbled, sitting up again and glaring at Meowth. Due to recent events, she wasn't in a very good mood to begin with.

(Welp, I just remembered that the other group (the one including Meiko, Kaito, and Rosalina) is inactive. xD
And to freshen things up on their end, I think I'll bring in a character who was in this RP when it first began on the WCW, but ended up vanishing. Here she comes again!)

Suddenly, somewhere somewhat nearby to everyone else, a strange opening appeared briefly in midair. Out of it flew a young girl, who thankfully collided with the soft grass, unharmed. "Ow," she murmured, pushing herself to her feet.

Picking up the faint sound of someone being thrown into this world from the interuniversal void, Rosalina quickly turned to see if the sudden newcomer seemed to be a threat. However, upon seeing what appeared to be a child, her caution was mostly replaced by concern. "Over there... I do hope that young one hasn't been harmed," she murmured.

Upon getting to her feet, the girl examined her surroundings. She quickly noticed that she was not alone in this place; she saw many different faces, with many of these strangers looking vastly different than one another. ... This place doesn't seem... normal, she thought nervously to herself.

Meiko, just noticing the sudden appearance of the unfamiliar young girl, briefly glanced at Kaito with a rather confused look on her face, as if to ask "when did she get here...?", before turning her attention back to the newcomer.

Kaito was equally surprised. "She doesn't look familiar," he murmured. "Perhaps she's been brought here from a different universe? Maybe it has something to do with the instability of the multiverse, like Rosalina was talking about..."

The girl simply stood where she was, staring at everyone in the group. She appeared to be trying to determine whether they seemed friendly or dangerous. Do those guys seem... good? she thought to herself. They don't seem threatening or anything... And if I stay out here all alone, I could be in big trouble... But how do I know that they really are the way they appear...?

Awkwardly, Jessie and James approached the newcomer.

Neither of them knew what to do, so they stumbled into their motto. Jessie gave it whatever tired effort she had. James was just burnt out.

"Uhh......*ahem*...Prepare for trouble, newcomer sublime!"
"Make it double. Is this really the time???"
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation."

Their own motto began to perk them up a little.

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above...."
"Jessie!!"
"James!"

It didn't take long for their situation to be forgotten, even for a few seconds.

"TEAM ROCKET BLASTS OFF AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT!"
"SURRENDER NOW, OR PREPARE TO FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!!"

Meowth came scrambling in late.

*Huff, huff, huff* "MEOWTH, DAT'S RIGHT!"

By now, the girl was quite frightened. "B-b-bad guys...!!" she yelled, backing away. "S-sorry; I have no treasure or ANYTHING on me...! N-nothing at all...! A-and... and..." In a panic, she turned around and sprinted away before she could think of anything else to say.

"That, ah... That could have went more smoothly," Kaito commented. "Maybe they shouldn't have greeted her with... that."
"This isn't good..." A worried expression once again appeared on Rosalina's face. "We need to catch up to her and explain everything; she could be in danger if we don't..."

The commotion caught Haku's attention, causing her to stare in its direction. However, she didn't leave Haru's side, as she wanted to be sure that he wasn't hurt.

"Yeah..." Meiko added in response to Kaito. When Rosalina spoke, she turned her attention to the princess and nodded her head. "I agree," she replied, quickly getting to her feet.

Though she wasn't yet prepared to Haru, fearing for his safety just as Haku was, Nagisa watched the commotion from afar, an uneasy feeling welling up inside of her.
