Realizing that he had nothing to bring along with him on the journey, Len just followed everyone else to the door right away. He felt rather helpless, seeing as they all seemed prepared in some way; but he decided that just having all of them around would make him less defenseless... and he was sure that he could find some way to help them in return, as well. At that moment, a little spark of determination shone in his blue gaze.

Once she saw that everyone was ready to go, Haku followed them out the door. She stayed close to Len's side, as he looked rather insecure and nervous. Looking down at him with a gentle look in her eye, she smiled a smile that seemed to be telling him he was being guarded. Indeed, she was going to watch over him like a mother wolf. Once they were walking down the road, she was constantly scanning their surroundings for danger.

England was up towards the front of the group with Norway, who was currently trying to navigate which way they should go. England sipped some of his tea from his trusty thermos and glanced around. It was a bright morning, and the clear skies seemed to be promising an equally clear and good day.
Little did he know that looks could be deceiving, especially today...
Because somewhere in the bushes nearby, quiet as silence itself, were a group of bandits, waiting and watching for the opportunity to strike. They were practiced and dangerous, wanted thieves, not to be trifled with. And they planned on robbing this group of everything it had when the perfect time came.
They remained silent and unseen.

As they walked along this seemingly peaceful road, Len stayed close to Haku, feeling much safer next to his silver-haired friend. "This place looks pretty calm..." He said, glancing around at their surroundings. He was glad, too, because even with the support of traveling companions, he couldn't feel completely worry-free.

"Yes," Haku replied, making sure Len stayed as close to her side as possible, "that's a relief..." Let's just hope what we see is what we get here... she thought to herself, not wanting to say it out loud as not to frighten the one she was protecting. She continued to be as watchful as she could, cautiously eying the gaps between every tree and branch around them.

Crossover: Apocalypse - Page 5 Empty Re: Crossover: Apocalypse

Norway had led the group further into the wilderness, relying on his sensory skills to navigate which way the malevolent dragon-like being had gone. However, he was a bit distracted by his own thoughts about how this journey into the unknown could possibly affect him or end... Truthfully, this could end two ways: badly in that they don't find what they're all looking for and fail, or well that they achieve their goals and leave satisfied... but they would likely split up at the end, regardless of whether the end was good or not. These thoughts muddled Norway's sensory skills, and he stopped walking to try and recollect his thoughts.

England had noticed Norway's sudden stop, and he took the opportunity to look around. He got the feeling that they were being watched... but he saw nothing there. "Fellows..." He whispered to his friends. "Do you feel as though we're being--"

"Watched?" Said a mysterious and gruff voice from directly behind England. The nation gasped and turned around quickly to see seven men clothed in black standing behind the group, and they did not look friendly. They each held sharp swords and similar weapons, and they all raced forward with ninja-like speed.

Norway saw the impending danger and tried to formulate a sleeping spell to cast, but two of the bandits reached him first and smacked the Norwegian country on the back of the head and his lungs, causing him to grunt and wheeze from the blow, rendering him delirious and causing him to fall to his knees while the men held his hands behind his back and kept him immobile.

With a gasp, England tried to reach for his old pirate sword that he carried with him, but he too was rendered useless when another two men in black kicked him hard in the back, causing the 24 year old nation to fall onto his stomach. One man placed one of his feet on England's back to keep him down and the other pointed his weapon at England, sending the nation's sword into the ground and out of his reach. "H-Hey!" He shouted, staring down the blade directed at his face nervously.
The remaining three men moved quickly and surrounded Haku and Len, they're eyes holding malicious intents as they watched carefully, ready to strike and defend themselves at every opportunity.

A few miles away, the lone figure had arrived. He felt a disturbance in the air, and the brotherly connection he had with his sibling was telling him that something was wrong. Horribly wrong. Arthur...! His blue eyes widened with concern and he sprinted through the forest and down the road, panting as he ran as fast as his legs would carry him to were his insticnts were directing him. I hope I'm not too late!

Len gasped in shock at the sudden appearance of these seven, strange men and instantly stood up as tall as he could. Though as he helplessly watched Norway and England getting struck to the ground, he realized that he couldn't stand up to these mysterious, black-clothed men. Even so, when the remaining three surrounded Haku and himself, he instinctively took a step in front of his tall, silver-haired friend, pushing his fear aside. Even though this was probably a terrible idea, as these men looked much stronger than he was, he wanted more than anything to try and help.

When they were suddenly ambushed without warning, Haku's muscles stiffened and she instantly stood as tall as she could. When she saw her friends being forced to the ground around her, anger sparked in her heart. However, the spark turned to blazing flames of rage when three of the bandits surrounded her and Len. Gripping her hammeraxe tightly, she held it right out for them all to see, the look in her eyes telling how she wasn't afraid to introduce it to their skulls. However, when Len stepped in front of her, her mind temporarily changed to protecting him. "Len, no...!" she gasped, grabbing his arm and pulling him back to her side. "Don't worry; I have it covered... Just stay safe..." Her attention then turned back to the bandits. Her free arm protectively around her young friend, she glared at the men surrounding them. Standing as tall as she could, she tried to look as strong as possible.

Crossover: Apocalypse - Page 5 Empty Re: Crossover: Apocalypse

Post by Guest Tue Jul 16, 2013 5:11 pm

England nervously glanced over at Norway, only to see the other nation was now knocked unconscious, laying limply in the clutches of the two bandits that apprehended him. "N-Norway!" He shouted in distress, and the bandits with him took that as a chance to enforce their current authority over the nation. One bandit ran the sharp side of his sword along England's cheek, and the blonde nation shrieked from surprise and pain. A long, scarlet cut was along his cheek and bled freely, his green eyes wide with fear as he stared up at his captors like a deer in the headlights.
The three bandits chuckled in a low tone in unison when the boy stepped in front to protect what looked like an albino to them, and all three of them pulled out dual katanas. "How cute." The leader said. "But too bad we'll have to rob you all of everything you have..." He eyed all the traveler's nice clothing. "And it seems like you all can afford nice clothes... you should have some nice loot... Though if you cross us, there will be more where the prize on your British friend's cheek came from.." The three began to move closer to Haku and Len, malice dancing in their eyes...
Suddenly a loud gunshot rang out through the air.
All the bandits looked up, distracted by the sound, and the silence was broken yet again by the sound of rapid gunfire, shots sounding out one after the other. The men all flinched and started to retreat, and about five of them got away, though there was a remaining two that were still surrounding Haku and Len. They looked at each other and ran in the opposite direction into the bushes, but they were met with a lone figure, who grabbed them and knocked the two men's heads together, which rendered them unconscious.
The figure brought his two trusty pistols up to his lips and blew the smoke off the barrel from having done so many gunshots in rapid succession, and he remained in the bushes for a few moments to toss the unconscious men back out to show that they were taken care of. He was keeping his identity hidden for a few moments longer...

Len took a step back in fear from the surrounding bandits, his eyes clenching tightly shut... When all of a sudden, rapid gunfire could be heard, and when he opened his eyes again, their attackers were nowhere to be seen. Just moments later, they came flying back out from the bushes they ran into; though they appeared unconscious this time around. What just happened...? He thought to himself, a puzzled yet relieved look on his face. He quickly glanced up at Haku for a moment, seeing if her facial expression signified that she was wondering the same.

Just when she was about to recklessly throw herself at the bandits, the deafening sound of gunfire stopped Haku in her tracks. Suddenly, as fast as it started, the conflict was over. However, she was still cautious. "... What... just... happened...?" she asked slowly, carefully looking around in case there was someone else ready to jump out and catch them off-guard. "... Is everyone alright...? ... Anyone hurt...?"

Crossover: Apocalypse - Page 5 Empty Re: Crossover: Apocalypse

Post by Guest Tue Jul 16, 2013 5:55 pm

England blinked as the commotion happened rapidly and settled just as rapidly, and when the dust settled, the injured British nation stood up a bit shakily. He gently touched the long cut on his cheek and blinked in surprise to see blood on his hand, though he was more interested in what was happening in his environment. At Haku's question England cleared his throat. "I'm cut on my cheek..." He turned around and noticed that Gina, Joy, Tera and Bithia were busy trying to rouse Norway from his unconscious state, but he had faith in them that they'd do it. "The fairies are taking care of Norway..." He reported, then he faced the bushes that the bandits had been tossed out of like ragdolls. The blonde nation paused, staring at the masses of foliage that blocked his view from the group's rescuer, though he noticed something near the top of the bush: a stray, stubborn cowlick of golden-brown hair.
England paused, staring at it while his heart beat faster as the realization began to take hold on him. Then, he felt himself smile... and then, being so overcome with joy, he started to laugh. It was a chuckle at first, but it grew into a warm, jolly laughter as he doubled over, trying to stifle his giggles. Finally, he looked up with a smile and stood back up, unable to refrain from grinning like an idiot. "Took you long enough, you stupid git!"

From the other side of the foliage, a familiar, trademark laugh sounded at what the 24 year old country said. The bushes rustled, as something moved through the bushes and pushed its way through to the outside. A man emerged, a few rogue leaves stuck in his golden-brown hair from having to navigate through the bush to reach those on the other side. He wore black gloves, a white T-shirt, khaki pants and a dark brown bomber jacket with a star patch and an airplance patch sewn onto the right side of the torso. On the back of this jacket was a large number 50, embroidered in large white numbers. The newcomer's eyes were closed to protect them from the harsh sunlight, and he wiped his forehead with the back of his gloved hand. When he opened his eyes, they revealed to be beautiful blue irises, and he adjusted his glasses.
"Britain, dude! Did you miss me, broha?~"

Watching curiously as Britain faced the same bushes that their previous attackers had been flung out of, suddenly unconscious, Len tilted his head slightly to one side in confusion as the 24-year-old country eventually burst into jolly laughter. What he saw next, though, caused his blue eyes to widen in surprise and excitement; a very familiar face had just emerged from the greenery; a face which brought back many memories of their past quest. "Is that...?" He murmured quietly, trailing off before he could speak the name of this newcomer.

"Ohh, let me look a-" Just as Haku took a step forward to look at the cut on England's cheek, the gentleman began laughing, and a very familiar laugh was returned from the bushes. Gasping, she whirled around and came face-to-face with a sight that made her heart soar. Standing proudly before her was one of the people she missed the most after everything that happened. She slowly stepped towards the man, just standing in front of him for a moment and staring at him with large, almost shimmery eyes. She did this for several moments until finally throwing herself at him in a hug. "A-America...!" she cried, putting her trained muscles to work giving him the tightest hug she could.

The golden-brown haired country had only had a split-second to look at his brother before he heard a familiar voice sound nearby. He could feel his heart quicken, and he didn't need to see to know who had spoken. America turned and faced her, and when she slowly stepped towards him and just stared, he couldn't help but smile a little wider than he already was. In the brief moments that they were both quiet and just staring at each other, he chuckled a little and held his arms out to her openly, welcoming a hug from her if she would give it to him. "Hey, Haku.~" He greeted softly in a sweet tone, though when she practically trucked him down and suffocated him with her hug, he laughed in his normal trademark way. "H-Hey! Easy! Don't break your hero!" America said happily, though he embraced her back. He turned and waved at Len, who was also staring at him. "Yo! Len! What's up, my man?~" He called before turning his attention back to Haku, still smiling brightly down at her. "I missed you.~"

England couldn't help but feel immense happiness at the sight of the reunion, a feeling of joy and bliss welling up in his chest as Haku and America embraced each other -- tightly, it seemed. He smiled, though remembered that Norway was still unconscious, and he walked over, tossing the Norwegian onto his shoulder and coming back over, just casually holding Norway on his shoulder. Why? Because England's a derp, that's why.

As Len watched the heartwarming reunion between Haku and America, a bright smile spread across his face, and he waved cheerfully at the country when he spoke to him, returning the greeting. Seeing how happy both of them looked right now was leaving the 14-year-old more cheerful, himself; in fact, the happiest he had been in quite some time. And he realized that if one reunion could happen, then maybe more were sure to follow... Sighing gently, he glanced up at the clear blue sky, his smile remaining, and a glow of determination shining in his eyes.

Haku loosened up her hug when she realized how much strength she put into it. "Oops," she giggled, "sorry. I got all excited and forgot that I've gotten stronger. I guess that means my battle training worked, then...!" After another little giggle, she sighed, then looked at him with a sweetly laid-back smile. "I missed you, too. Did your journey go alright...? I was a little bit worried, even though I know you're really strong and were probably fine..."

America laughed again when she let go of him, and he reassuringly pat her on the back with his same soft smile. "I can tell you've gotten stronger... But you could already handle yourself pretty well, dude." The golden-brown haired country said with a wink of his bright blue eyes, though when she asked about him again, he gave a light chuckle. "Me? Yeah, it was fine... I saw and learned so much about the world that even I didn't know about yet... though, admittedly, lonely at times..." America recounted while putting an arm around Haku's shoulder, smiling brightly once more. "I much prefer the journey we're about to have... together.~"

England walked over to Len after noticing the boy's newfound determined air about him, and put a reassuring hand on the 14 year old's shoulder. He knew who he was thinking about, and the British nation offered him a smile, brimming with hope. "I know it'll happen for you too, Len... I have faith in that." England remarked, then chuckled as the sleeping Norway on his shoulder snored rather loudly. "Perhaps we should move along then, yeah?" He asked, then headed towards the way they were originally going before they got ambushed, then he called over his shoulder. "Oi! Lovebirds! Let's get a move on!" England said with a smirk and continued walking.

America heard his older brother and blushed a little, though the 19 year old just stuck his tongue out at him passive aggressively. "Wh-Whatever, dude!" He said, though kept his arm around Haku as they walked on, catching up with the others.

Turning his blue gaze to England, Len nodded his head slightly after the country had spoke. "Yes... I can feel it; we will reunite..." He said in a somewhat soft, quiet voice, beginning to stare off into the depths of the forest. He snapped out of his deep state of thought when he saw the 24-year-old country beginning to walk away, and instantly ran to catch up with him. "Thanks for the reassurance, England..." He said after he was once again standing next to his British friend, glancing up at him with a smile.

Haku soaked up the one-armed hug she was given, even leaning over a little and gently resting her head on America's shoulder. "I'm looking forward to traveling together again, too," she murmured, gently closing her eyes. However, her eyes popped open again when England called them. "Sorry; coming, Truffles...!" This name she called him was a spontaneous on-the-spot nickname of sorts, inspired by all the times he referred to her as "little truffle". Staying right by America's side as she peacefully strolled along, she continued speaking to him. "I've got your back just as much as you've got mine, y'know..." she reminded him, smiling and shyly looking at the ground as they walked. "I think we'll be OK..."

England had been about to delve into his own thoughts when Len suddenly ran up to him and thanked him for the reassurance. The way the boy smiled up at him made the British nation feel truly appreciated, like a big brother of sorts. The nation smiled and playfully ruffled Len's hair with his free hand. "Not a problem, Len." The blonde remarked with a smile. "I'm here if you need someone to talk to, you know that right?" He reassured and walked along the road, chuckling when he heard Haku call him Truffles. England placed a hand on Len's shoulder and kept walking like that, feeling as though he were responsible for what happened to him and his twin now.
But that was a responsibility that he was most definitely willing to take on.

America smiled down at Haku when she spoke to him, nodding in agreement and stretching his other arm. "Of course we will! We're the most awesome team out there, between my pistols and abnormal strength as well as your hammeraxe and speed.~" He said with a wink, then he playfully poked her belly with a gloved finger. "And between the two of us, there isn't a burger in the world that's safe.~" He said with a laugh. America was enjoying himself after being gone so long from those that he cared about.

Continuing to stare up at England, Len nodded his head slowly and smiled at the nation once more. "Yes... Thank you, once again." He said, truly grateful for his older friend's support. Then, as he heard Haku addressing the 24-year-old country by the name of 'Truffles', he chuckled for a moment as well. Things weren't seeming nearly as bad as they were when he was traveling alone, and he felt certain that the reunion with his sister was going to happen sooner or later.

Haku chuckled bashfully, laughing a little more when she was poked in the belly. "Well," she said shyly, "I wouldn't say I'm really all that fast or agile or anything... At least not most of the time... Thanks, though. And yes; not a burger... or a hot dog... or a pizza... or anything else that tastes amazing...!" Talking about all these delicious foods caused her to feel rather hungry. "... Too bad there aren't random little places to eat scattered around here for travelers like us..." she sighed awkwardly. She tried not to imagine how amazing it would be to be sinking her teeth into an obscenely topping-loaded pizza or a big and beefy cheeseburger at the moment.

Crossover: Apocalypse - Page 5 Empty Re: Crossover: Apocalypse

Post by Guest Wed Jul 17, 2013 9:49 pm

While he walked alongside Len, England couldn't help but marvel at the boy's spirit and tenacity -- here he was, a 14 year old boy who was weaponless and didn't know magic of any form, yet he was willing to go to great lengths and face a multitude of dangerous people and obstacles... just to see his sister again. The British nation had a plethora of respect for the Vocaloid boy, and he kept his hand on his shoulder to keep him aware that he was never alone. England shifted Norway's weight on his shoulder and glanced down at the 14 year old, his green eyes reflecting his genuine curiosity. "So, Len..." England began softly with a smile. "I never really got the chance to get to know you and your sister to a great length last time we were together..." He trailed off and kept his expression bright. "How about you tell me a bit about her and yourself? It'll do you some good to talk about her, you know. Speaking your goals aloud is shown to solidify your resolve to achieve them." The 24 year old said confidently, trying to give Len an outlet for his thoughts about finding Rin -- he did this not only because he felt it would give the boy confidence, but also because England wished somebody else would have listen and let him speak about his own goals in life while times were hard for his nation -- and technically, himself.

America nodded in agreement at Haku's statement about food, but her comment about not being fast made him wink at her with his beautiful, baby blue irises. "Ah, well, you may not think so, but I think you're just right.~" He said, still having his arm around Haku's shoulders in a protective manner. The chirping of bird overhead made the 19 year old look up curiously, and his smile brightened when a blue bird swooped down to greet him -- animals seemed to love America, mostly because he was able to speak with him (a habit he picked up from his deceased mother, Native America). He lifted a finger for the bird to perch on, and once it settled, he started making conversation. "Yo! What's up, my bird-man?" He greeted casually, and the bird responded in happy chirps. "Good!~" The bird then beckoned for America to come closer with its wing, and the nation bent his head down to let the bird chirp softly into his ear. "Hmm?" He glanced over at Haku, listening quietly to the bird remark that she had a beautiful singing voice -- and the country agreed whole-heartedly. "Yeah, I think she sings beautifully too.~" America agreed with a wink to her.

As he listened to England's question, Len stared off for a moment, wondering what kind of things he could tell his British friend. "Well... As you probably noticed from when we were on our last journey together is that Rin has a very different personality than I do. I suppose you could say we're like opposites..." He began, chuckling quietly. "I'll admit that sometimes, she can get kind of aggressive... which makes me a little nervous, at times..." He trailed off, a hint of awkwardness in his voice. "But she's actually really sweet... We're always looking out for and supporting each other." He sighed, closing his eyes and smiling.
